FIFTY/FIFTY Straw Cap Lid for Wide Mouth Bottles

It's great that everyone is drinking more water, but c'mon, they Hydro Flask brand is ridiculously expensive. Although this is not a review of the water bottle, I did want to mention that the 50/50 brand is a dead ringer for the overpriced Hydro Flask brand and a fantastic value. I have a 40 oz. bottle and it's massive, probably should have bought a smaller one, but it's with me every day.Btw, I saw on Reddit that the 50/50 company is run by the wife of the Hydro Flask guy after they divorced. Thus the name. Not sure if that's true or not, but if it is, that's brilliant!The lid that comes with the bottle I purchased is worthless to me. I bought this to drink more water, so finding a lid specifically for drinking with a flip-up spout, by the same company as my water bottle was great. You can't beat the price and buying this was a "stupid easy" decision.The included straws were too long to fit in my massive bottle and this is probably by design. I attached the straw to the lid and went through a few fittings before I was happy with the straw length. I used a pair of scissors to cut the end, and I angled the cut so that if it was up against the bottom of the bottle, it would allow the last dredges of water up into the straw.The lid has an odd fit. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I have to push down a bit on the lid when screwing it onto the bottle to ensure I'm engaging the threads. Once it's engaged, it fits really well. I screw it down until I hear the squeak that indicates the silicone gasket has engaged the water bottle. It never leaks. I can throw it in my car and never worry about anything leaking out of the bottle.Over all it's a great solution and a better value compared to anything Hydro Flask. Highly recommend their bottles too!

I really wanted to love this. I prefer a straw when drinking anything, and went ahead and ordered this, and the flip top lid for my 40oz bottle. I have two issues with this lid; One - the straws are slightly too short, not a huge issue, but slightly annoying. However, the second issue I have is really disappointing. With this lid on, the bottle doesn't retain temperature as good as it does with the standard twist off lid, or flip top lid - both of those have some insulation in them to help retain temperature. This straw lid doesn't. So, while this lid is super convenient, and has a way to hang onto the bottle, unlike the flip top lid, I still might end up using the twist off lid because it will keep the cold temperature, and also has a way to carry the bottle.

I wish they made these of stronger plastic! I have had to buy like 4 of these because I dropped my metal water bottle often (before getting a case-thing for it) and while *it* was fine, the plastic handle broke every time... Also some have this bubbling effect when you sip from them which is really annoying and makes it hard to drink a lot of water without feeling like your also swallowing air.When it works right, it's great and I love it, but when it doesn't work or I have to replace a working one because it broke, then the next one has an issue... it's REALLY frustrating.

Bought this to fit my 40oz Fifty/Fifty bottle, and was worried that the straw wouldn't be long enough to reach the bottom. Good news is that the straw DOES get all the way down to the bottle of the 40oz bottle.The bad news is that the cap feels flimsy and cheap, like it's going to break at any point. Additionally, the finishing on the plastic around the straw has rough edges and catches my lip and tongue when I'm using the straw. I'm pretty disappointed with it overall, unfortunately.Compared to the comparable Yeti version and bottle, this feels like a really awful imitation. Of course, the Yeti branded items are significantly more expensive. However, if I could find a Yeti or other branded lid that would fit the FiftyFifty bottle, I'd happily spend the extra money.

I got this because I liked the idea of simply being able to flip a spout open, and the handle makes it really easy to carry. The lid I got isn't colored like the picture, with a grey/blue spout.. mine is all black. I don't care so much about the colors, but thought I should mention it. I can't give this very high remarks though. It leaks in 2 different ways, and the straw never fit.First, the leaks. If the lid is "tight", as in, as tight as you'd expect to normally a lid to be, it leaks down around the threads. This leads me to believe the gasket/oring is the wrong material, deflecting too much and buckling, allowing the seal to be broken. This means I have to have it "just somewhat tight", which can lead to another problem.. if it tips over or otherwise gets bumped, the lid will come loose and just start pouring out.The other way it leaks, is through the silicone breather hole at the top, when the spout is closed. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes when the container is bouncing around on a trip, it'll start dribbling out.Secondly.. the straw. Some folks complained it took too much effort to use. Well, I never had the chance to use it. The straw width is 2x the size of the spout. It's like it was meant for an entirely different lid.

When I opened the box the thumb lever was broken. I was disappointed but figured it wasn't a huge deal and I didn't want to wait for a replacement. Initially it was very difficult to get anything out of the straw so I had to trim it down then it was perfect. However the very next day I was putting the lid back on my fifty/fifty bottle and the area where the straw connects to the lid broke. (i do have pics but can't get them to connect for some reason) I didn't contact the company for a return because I had modified the straw, so they have not had a chance to respond. I am sad because I loved the lid but I can't even use it now. Had to throw it away.

Perfect for fifty/fifty wide mouth water bottles. I have 2 40oz ones, and they’re great! Comes with 2 straws. Only complaint is the plastic is very hard. On the black ones that are the originals the bottles come with, there must be some silicone or softer material that makes it a bit nicer to put your mouth around. These seem like hard solid plastic. But overall great and happy for the bright colours

Great addition to my daughters hydraflask, Far less expensive than brand name straw lids, and the quality is fantastic. Nothing negative to say about this purchase whatsoever! Highly recommend as an alternative to the expensive name brand lids.

I am obsessed with this product. It fits my wide mouth hydro flask perfectly and I love that it comes with an extra straw. It came quickly and was very easy to assemble. I found I had no problems with leaks or improper sealing ext. Mine is literally perfect. I Will be repurchasing if anything ever happens to this one.

I’m on my fourth one in about a year. It’s fantastic when it’s not broken but seemingly the smallest drop will snap of the handle or the spout. Just falling sideways and having the spout hit something will cause it to snap right off.

Bought this to use it with a kleankanteen 64oz wide mouth bottle. The top fits but the suction is the absolute worst. Even though the design is made so that it can create a vaccum like seal.
