great value, function, form
Been running this OVERTURE black PLA through my Ender for a couple weeks now and honestly, it's been cruisin smooth. First off, it feeds like butter. No jams, no weird tangles, none of that headache mess that can pop up with cheaper filament. I just loaded it up and forgot about it. Which is kind of the dream right? The print quality is real decent too. Layers go down nice and even, like pancakes if you got a steady hand. I been making some functional stuff like tool holders and a couple decorative bits just to test it, and the surface finish came out clean. Not super glossy but not chalky either, just that nice in between look that doesn't scream “homemade” in a bad way.Color's solid too. It’s not that washed out gray black some spools give you. This one’s a true black, deep and consistent all the way through. Doesn’t fade out halfway through a print like I’ve had with other rolls. Definitely passes the eyeball test.Cardboard spool’s kinda whatever to me. Some folks get all excited about the eco friendly angle but I just care if it spins right and it does, so no complaints there. One tiny thing, it does like a little extra first layer squish. If you're used to fuss-free filaments, just keep that in mind. Once I dialed the z-offset in a touch lower, it stuck like a dream.Honestly, for a basic filament it punches above its weight. Great for everyday prints, prototypes, even some cosplay parts if you're painting after. If you're not trying to get all experimental with fancy materials and just want something reliable that won't drive you nuts, this is the one.

Excellent Print Quality and Eco-Friendly Packaging
I’ve used several PLA brands over the years and OVERTURE continues to impress. This black PLA prints beautifully with great adhesion, smooth layers, and minimal stringing even on detailed prints. The dimensional accuracy is very consistent, and I haven’t had a single clog or jam in my Ender 3 or Prusa MK3S Plus. One thing I really appreciate is the cardboard spool. It’s sturdy, recyclable, and doesn’t warp like some plastic spools. The filament is also wound cleanly with no tangles from start to finish.Highly recommend this filament to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality PLA. Whether you are printing hobby models or functional parts, this filament delivers consistent and professional results.

Good stuff
Update: I have now used several overtire filament products and have decided that the issues I had with this particular product were likely due to my own improper handling of the filament when loading my printer or just a rare case of poorly spoiled filament. In either case all of the other filaments I have gotten from Overture have been top notch. It has been consistent and high quality. I have been moving away from PLA in favor of petg and I have to say their petg filament is where it’s at. I am changing my review to five stars after finishing the spool and also using several other overtire products. If you are looking for some great quality filament don’t hesitate to try this. When I first opened the package the filament seemed a little messy compared to other brands I had tried up to that point. It didn’t seem to be ranged just a little weird. At first it printed great and consistently. However it eventually started to catch on itself and after pausing the print to check it out I didn’t see any apparent tangles so I continued on. About 30min later it caught again and caused a rather large print to fail. I didn’t notice until it made a noise when the extruded snapped the filament in two. I thought I had fixed it when it happened AGAIN later that night with another large print(stupid me I should have changed rolls). Anyway, I rewound the entire thing myself and haven’t had an issue since. All in all, I am disappointed in the performance of this roll and how poorly it was wound. However, I am having great success with overtures petg. I’m giving it 4 stars for now. If I grab another roll from them with better results I’ll do a new review.
