great size to store butter on the counter or as a refrigerator dish. I bought toward I LOVE THEM!!!

It does hold a pound of butter. The lid handle is very small and the lid is too small for the container.

The dimensions listed for this butter dish are pretty much meaningless, since the dish has tapering sides and a protruding rim. I can't match those listed dimensions to the dish at all. What I will say, though, is that there is plenty of room to place two of the 5-inch long sticks of butter sold east of the Rockies side by side in the bottom of the dish without having to shave off some butter. You could also easily fit a one-pound brick of butter in the dish. This is exactly what I was looking for in a butter dish after first making the mistake of ordering a smaller dish of the same type.

I love this cute little butter bowl. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish the knob was bigger. It’s a little hard to grip so I’ve almost dropped the lid a few times.

I wish the top had something rubber to keep it from being loose. When I remove it from the fridge door, I just know that lid is gonna hit the floor someday. I have a rubber band around top to bottom. I just cut one stick in half and fits the 2 half sticks inside. It would be nice if you like to keep your butter on the counter because carrying it around that lid is quite loose.

Very cute. Unfortunately the top is a little too small for the base & feels loose and shifts when moved.

Could be a bit longer, have to cut end of my 1/2 lb block of butter to fit. Otherwise love it.

Arrived the day after ordering. Perfect fit for a 500g tub of butter/spread. Smart looking & of good quality. Loses a star due to the lid knob being a little small & not easy to grasp.

Not easy to find containers big enough to hold supermarket spread tubs - this one (large) holds a 500g Benecol tub easily. The dish lid sits on the rim of the tub so I used the kitchen scissors to trim the top of the tub and the lid now sits squarely on the dish. Took about 10 seconds to fix. Looks good on the table instead of the commercial packaging on view. It is heavy and quite large so needs a two handed lift out of the fridge. The knob on the lid is quite small so buttery fingers beware. I have managed to smash three dish lids on the kitchen floor and as Lakeland had discontinued their dishes I was getting desperate until I fiound this one. Holds a very large stick of butter. Simple , functional and attractive on the counter. I only wish that the knob on the top was a bit bigger. Given that butter is slippery, I can see this getting dropped.

This is a replacement for one I had already, that was looking a bit worse for wear. It's very nice and the tub fits in OK apart from the lid is a bit rocky unless you trim the top off the plastic butter tub.

AT last a butter dish that takes Lurpak spreadable 500g tub. Believe me, very few do!
