Sturdy
One of the wheels snapped off yesterday, in a way that seems difficult if not impossible to repair or replace. It served me well for a year & a half, ~8 flights & 20 events getting tossed, dragged, & shuffled around. A year & a half doesn't sound like long but it is quite long for what I put it through. This was worth the $200 I paid for it at the time. Zipper never broke, the casing never so much as cracked. My only complaint is that one of the wheels got hair or string wrapped around it not long after buying it, & no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it free, which made it very difficult at times to move it.

Light and easy to get to airport check in
Very light and incredibly easy to go through long lines with since it stands on 4 wheels. Airport did break a wheel off which they paid for to repair

Fore! Your Clubs Are Traveling First Class
The Samsonite 6850 Golf Hard Sided Travel Cover Case is like a suit of armor for your golf clubs, but without the medieval baggage. Strong, sturdy, and lightweight, it’s ready to take to the skies for your next guys' golf getaway. This thing’s been on several trips and returned in one piece every time—no duct-taped disasters or crumpled club casualties to report. That’s a big win in my book. The durable ABS shell feels like it could withstand a baggage handler’s most aggressive toss, yet it’s surprisingly easy to maneuver. It’s roomy enough to hold all your golf gear while still compact enough to avoid triggering side-eyes at the airport. In short, it’s a reliable travel buddy for your clubs, and it even comes back from vacations looking better than you probably do.

Too fragile for airlines
I was initially drawn to this case with the promise of hard-case protection for my clubs married with convenience of the spinner wheels for easier transport. My disappointment stems from an extreme lack of durability. I went through (2) of these before I gave up and purchased a different product. Each case was taken on a separate trip (read 1 trip) via airline, 4 air legs per trip, and neither one of the cases made it home without significant damage. On the first case, one of the spinner wheels and its respective casing broke and shoved up inside of the case itself, rendering the wheel useless. I returned the case and chalked it up to extremely poor handling by baggage services. On the second case, the rivets attaching the top handle into the case pulled completely out, rendering the top handle (and most important handle) useless. Pictures are attached of each failure. My golf bag contained in the case weighed 32lbs, so it wasn't like I was overloading the case with too much weight. Here's the thing - I completely understand that the baggage services guys throw these bags around. In fact, I would expect them to treat golf bags in particular with an extra level of contempt due to their overall weight and "awkward-ness" as compared to other pieces of luggage. That's the entire reason most people, including myself, invest the extra $$ in a hard case - to compensate for the abuse. I would expect a product that is marketed to be more durable than a soft case to be exactly that - more durable than a soft case. This case, unfortunately, is not. Since I am now past my return window on the second case, I will try to fight with Samsonite to get it taken care of.

Would buy again
I received this travel case a day early, fit and finish is excellent (as I would expect from a reputable company like Samsonite). After some initial concern about this case being able to hold my full bag with clubs, not having to take out the driver etc. I was pleasantly surprised at the spacious interior. My full bag with my cleats, 24 balls, tees, irons, FW woods, Driver etc. fit with plenty of room to spare. As a matter of fact, I believe that you would still have room to add an additional two full cases of balls (24) as well as clothing etc. This main issue will become staying under weight for airline check in.The hard sides are light weight yet seem very durable with minimal deflection when you put your weight against it, the lack of latches is a non issue because I believe the flexibility the zipper provides will allow the case to flex and move when tossed in a luggage compartment and avoid breaking. The zipper is heavy duty and I don't for see any problems with that. The wheels do stick out and cannot be removed, so that may be a weak point in the future, however, initially they seem to be very sturdy. My initial review is that this case is well worth the money to protect your considerable investment in golf equipment and travel worry free.I haven't traveled with the case yet so I will update this review next week after my first full trip with it.

Not the exact bag I ordered??
Looks like a great hard shell bag and my clubs fit well, but the bag I got delivered doesn’t have the inline skate wheels that say they ease in the rolling/dragging of the bag. It still drags ok but gets lopsided if one swivel wheel is off a bit. Samsonite, can you answer this for me? Both people I know who have this bag have the inline wheels…
