Teto and the Tall Monkey

When starting out learning Japanese it can be very difficult to find reading material that is easy enough. Even books like よつばとwhich many recommend, I found way to difficult to read. So if you are around an N5 level and want something to read that doesn’t have you looking up every other word, I would highly recommend.

We were given this book as a present by a friend and it is lovely - a simple story with sweet, quirky illustrations. Our 2 year old son asks to have it read to him at bedtime and has been quoting bits of the story. He's even named his baby brother's toy monkey Saru! Definitely recommended.
