Comfort Psh-141A Portable Room Air Conditioner

It's exactly as I expected

Bought this same unit from Best Buy it does not get cold, it kicks on for a few minutes then licks off Sounds like its falling apart when the condenser kicks off

I received this unit on loan from a comfort aire dealer when my central A/C went out. The unit is troublesome I have had the same issues as a couple of other reviewers, the unit would not run and when it did it would almost immediately shut down with the control panel going blank , no error codes etc. the TEST and RESET buttons on the plug solved that issue, following the instructions in the manual for the order the buttons have to be pushed Test then Reset I believe.The second issue is with draining of the condensate. With an average of about 81% humidity here there is generally lots of condensation generated from any A/C unit - this produced none. NO condensate came out of the drain tube at all. After a couple of days it began shutting down and beeping, the lights on the panel blinking. Figuring this machine had to be collecting water I wheeled it outside and took the plugs out of all drains and turned it on it's back this brought out about a half cup of water from the bottom drain hole ( there are 3 ) this solved the issue for 6 hours whereafter exactly the same thing happened again. I followed the same procedure taking it outside to drain, brought it back in placed some Bean Bag "lifters" in the front of the unit so that this tilt might help it drain better...I turned it on it ran for about 20 minutes draining like crazy then in 10 minutes it did the exact same shutdown again. Beeps and goes off, now will not reset. This is my experience with this unit. Good Luck.

Bought one of these for a 500 sqft area. Rated for 700 sqft. This thing is junk. Condenser kicks on and only runs for about 4 minutes, and doesn't kick back on for about 15 minutes. Room does NOT get any cooler at all. Bought it at ABC Warehouse and plan on returning it tomorrow. Have had several portable a/c units in the past that worked great. I do not recommend this product at all!
