What's the diameter of the opening in the base?

I needed the exact dimensions for an edge guide add-on to this guide that I am working on. The center hole is 88mm in diameter. The 4 mounting holes are 7mm in diameter, and spaced 83mm (center to center) in one dimension, and 108mm in the other. The rectangular portion of the base is 110mm in one dimension and 140mm in the other. The fillets on the edges of the base have a radius of 18mm.

Does anybody know how many inches the stroke is? Thank you.

I've found it cannot drill through 4x4 timber. I haven't measure the stroke, probably about 2.5 inches.

Does it use Bearings or Bushings for the spindle?

The spindle has two ball bearings in it, for accuracy. The bushings are located on the left and right side of the guide head, which is where the bars slide through.

The Base Opening is 3-1/2" in diameter.

Works, But Not Worth the Price

This drill guide does the job, but with noticeable compromises:1. Accuracy – It’s good for general drilling, but the holes are not perfectly 90°. There’s always a slight angle off, which makes it less reliable for precision work.2. Durability – The rods used are not of the best quality. Rust has already started forming, which raises concerns about long-term usage.3. Price Concern – For the build quality and performance delivered, the price feels way too high. Expected sturdier materials and better accuracy at this cost.Overall, it’s fine for basic DIY tasks but definitely not for precision work. For the money, there are better alternatives.
