Excellent jobsite table saw that does exactly what it's asked to do
This is my first table saw, but I had done quite a lot of research prior to purchasing this one. I'm really glad it's the one I purchased, for several reasons:1. It folds up to store with relative ease.2. I can roll it anywhere on the jobsite by myself.3. The gear-based fence adjustments are always accurate.4. The quick-change on the riving knife makes handling special cuts a breeze.5. It supports my dado stack, up to a 3/4" width.A few minor negatives:1. It's not immediately obvious where the riving knife can be stored. I eventually found it upon a detailed reading of the manual.2. The fence itself is somewhat thin and has a "flip" to help support plywood sheets when cutting wide rips. This "flip" and the thin fence make it awkward to add secondary fences.3. Fastening the arbor lock nut with a wide dado stack can get awkward. Make sure you fully raise the arbor when changing the blades for maximum ease.4. There's no built-in way to store extra inserts (like Leecraft DW-2 Zero-Clearance Table Saw Insert for DeWalt Model DW744 and DW746 or DEWALT DW7444 Dado Throat Plate (for DW744) ). I'm planning to add something underneath the table top, as there's plenty of space there.5. The table top will get dinged up, as the top isn't cast iron. It doesn't affect the performance of the saw, so is purely cosmetic.Note that all of these are very minor nits for what I'm doing. It's not a saw for fine furniture making, but it's not claiming to be. As far as a jobsite saw, it's amazing, and a great first table saw. I'm very happy I purchased and look forward to pulling it out for each project.

Overall good saw
I'm a professional carpenter and needed a new table saw for my business.I love the rip fence! The miter slide is another story,It's sloppy in the groove that is milled into the table slot, but I use the saw mostly for ripping and loved increased capacity.I know a lot of d.i.y. customers do not like the stand, but it comes in handy for me on the job site.I would defiantly buy it again.

I had the earlier version of this saw and really liked it but this version is even nicer since you can now use dado blade sets on it which you couldn't on the earlier version. With a bit of time and a good dial indicator setup to get the blade aligned you can have this saw cutting as accurate and repeatable as much larger and more expensive shop saws. The rack and pinion fence positioner is really nice and very accurate.About the only complaint I have with it concerns the above mentioned blade alignment. The blade on mine was nowhere near aligned square to the miter slot as it came out of the box. The pivoting rack setup that allows the motor/blade housing to move side to side when you loosen two screws does not operate smoothly at all and the allen head screws that you loosen to adjust the alignment are not very easily accessible. The manual tells you to torque them to a specific inch/pounds but getting a torque wrench with the proper bit up and around everything is quite a trick as you don't have a straight shot at the two screws from below.Once set up properly this saw will certainly handle just about any job a small shop or home user would ever need. I'm using mine right now for building new oak kitchen cabinets and it's a pleasure to use. I also tossed the cheap miter slider that comes with it and replaced it with an INCRA V120.

Love Dewalt tools!
The cost of these two items is what my local hardware stores wanted just for the saw.The ability to fold this up and put it away like it was a regular dolly saves tons of space in my shop. I feel like I haven't sacrificed any stability from my old craftsman saw either. The gear driven fence on this is great, no more triple checking my guide to make sure my measurements are the same on both sides of the blade.

I would give it 5 stars had I not gotten 3 of these and all 3 tables are not flat. They all had about an 1/8 inch elevation in the middle of the table.
