Q: Could this be used on a scratched desk previously painted with water based paint ?

Possibly but doubtful. It is a Lacquer that is very aggressive and may lift existing paint. Do a test spot and spray light coats with plenty of flash time between coats to test. If it’s going to lift it will do it fairly quickly as long as you don’t pile on the paint.

Q: Can this be used on glass?

if the lamp of the body is good then it will see the dimensions of life clearly

Q: I am custom painting a guitar body, When properly cured can this finish be wet sanded up to 2000 grit for a high quality gloss, durable guitar finish

You would be able to wet sand it with the. 1200-3000, grit, no problem. Let it cure 2-3 days above 70 degrees F, to ensure it's as hard as it's going to get. It would knock off the top most layer of the gloss though, if you are going to clear coat it, I would not sand it down on the final lacquer coat - Just spray over it with clear lacquer like Deft. If you are looking for a matte finish, so you may want to choose a matte lacquer. 2000 grit will make it a bit less reflective in the light.
