I've been using this Petcock for a little over 3 years and it used to work really well but now I'm getting rust build up inside the shut off valve which is causing the Generator to run out of gas every time I put a heavy load on it. I'm just going to have to replace the valve with a brand new one because I'm getting a little tired of having to drain the gas tank in order to remove the valve for cleaning. I wish they made these out of stainless steel so my gas flow wouldn't slow down from rust deposits from inside the valve.Update: Today I discovered what was causing the rust problem with the shut off valve.. Ethanol. Back in May of this year they started putting more Ethanol in the fuel chain to help further our fuel supply. Ethanol is very bad for any type of engine with a carburetor on it. Especially Generators because they sit for a very long time until they are needed, and when they are needed, they won't run because the Ethanol pulls moisture from air and puts it right in your fuel tank and fuel lines causing them to rust.
