His host mother, Midori Kawasaki is a highly sexed widow eager to compare Billy's anatomy to her favorite vibrator, nicknamed "Big Boy." After some delay and frustration, both Billy and Midori-san find satisfaction.This review carries only four stars because the author devoted so much to Billy's first days getting settled, then seemed to rush through his erotic experience with his host mother. This latter portion obviously was the whole object of the story, but the treatment was so brief it never developed the erotic heat it deserved.This reviewer--who lived in Japan for 10 years--was pleasantly surprised by the accurate use of Japanese dialogue (for the most part). However, it seemed jarring--and totally unrealistic--to "hear" Japanese college students speaking in such fluent colloquial English. Also, even when speaking in English, in Japan people add the polite "-san" after someone's name, as in "Thank you, Billy-san" or "This way, Kenji-san."
