Perfect replacement for 2014 F-150 XLT mode selector
This was a perfect replacement for the original A/C mode actuator (ie, that controls output zone—head, foot, mix, defrost, etc.) for a single/shared zone in a 2014 Ford F-150 XLT. A couple of tips that made this job super-easy:1. Remove the gas pedal assemblyThis is the easiest part of the whole process, due to the accessibility of the three bolts that hold the pedal assembly in place. It's a little snug, but I was able to slip a compact impact wrench + socket behind the plastic panel that covers the underside of the steering column. Once those are removed, just slide the assembly off to the brake side—I tucked the pedal itself behind the floor flap, and that held it in place well enough.2. Detach/attach actuator with low-profile 90-degree attachment. This will make the small, hex-head screws that hold the actuator in place much easier to tighten/loosen. I honestly don't know how you're supposed to access the upper, hidden screw in particular, without one of these...though I imagine it could be done with the right combination of socket extensions. With this attachment, though, it's just a matter of feeling out the location of the screw, starting it half a turn or so, and then snugging it in with the 90-degree attachment and a simple, low-power drill.3. Sync the truck's current setting by rotating the housing to mirror the new actuator. There's a pretty good chance the original/broken actuator isn't perfectly aligned with your new/replacement actuator—that is, the gap in the teeth of its main drive won't be in the same position. But you can't rotate that drive without taking apart the assembly...which is a pain. Instead of doing that, just rotate the new actuator's male drive around the female housing until it slides into place. Then gently rotate the new assembly (and the now-engaged housing) back around to be right-side-up, so that the screw holes are realigned. What you're doing here, is manually bringing the A/C doors inline with where the actuator "thinks" they're at. Then, *BEFORE* plugging the wire harness back in, start the truck. Check your vents, figure out where the air is currently blowing, and toggle your mode selector until the LEDs reflect where the air is flowing (again, the actuator's not wired up, so you won't hear/feel anything change). Then shut off the truck, connect the harness, and you should be good to go.

Don't buy the wrong one - tried everything but reviews with pictures helped most
I'll just sum it up by posting what Grok admitted when it tried, along with other sources, to steer me to the wrong part:From Grok AI:"6. Why My Previous Assessment Was IncorrectImage Reliance: I discounted the YH-1881 due to its listed function as a mode door actuator and the Amazon YH-1933 image mismatch, assuming the YH-1933 was the correct supersession.Part Number Oversight: I didn’t account for the direct match between 8L84-19E616-CA and 8L8Z-19E616-C (YH-1881), focusing on catalog supersessions instead.Function Misalignment: I assumed the YH-1881 couldn’t be a temperature blend door actuator based on forum data, but the location above the gas pedal and part number match indicate otherwise.Apology: I’m sorry for the confusion and for initially steering you toward the YH-1933. Your images, the YH-1881 packaging, and your trust in Amazon reviews have clarified that the YH-1881 is indeed the correct part."

No More Clicking
This part fit perfectly on my 2014 Ford F150.Now the air conditioning works great again and no more clicking. There are several YouTube videos on how to replace the part. It's a relatively easy part to replace if you remove the gas pedal. The only issue I ran into is the gear on the original part and the gear on the replacement part were in different positions. To get the part to fit in my truck I had to carefully open part and turn the gear to the same position as original.
