Libbey Impressions Colors Rocks Glasses, Set of 4

I see that a lot of reviews say that the colors wear off quickly. I've had a set of these glasses for over two years and they still look good and I just ordered a new set to add to what I already have. I would say that if you plan on using these for your everyday glasses and putting them through the dishwasher on a consistent basis, then buy a different set. These have been my cocktail drink glasses and I don't generally put them in the dishwasher, just handwash them, so they have held up well for a long time. They hold a lot of liquid despite being short, I like the thumb imprints (makes it easy to hold onto if it starts sweating), and the colors make it easy to identify which glass is yours when you're having cocktails with your friends.

I really love these cups but after a few hand washes the color started coming off the bottom. I also find that they break fairly easy which is a disappointment. I ordered two sets of the y’all ones and the short ones as I have a large family. I replaced these with some other glassware hoping they were more sturdy, but also seem to break easily at the top.

This is my second order of these glasses. I really like them. They are definitely easy to grip. They look good with their different colors. I noticed that some people have said they lose their color from washing. I never looked on the first order that they shouldn't be put in the dishwasher so I have always washed them in the dishwasher. So I want to report that I have not experienced any discoloration to these glasses. They still look great.

I bought these and the matching taller glasses as a gift for my parents for Christmas and they were a huge hit. The colors are cheery and have the added benefit of making it readily apparent who's glass is who's. The color is only painted on but has not worn off or chipped due to machine washing in the 6 months my parents have had them.The really nice thing about these glasses is that they have a very solid wide base which makes them very stable. Useful since my parents' have inquisitive cats and live near an active faultline. The dimples in the glass also provide good grip for people like my dad who have very little feeling in the tips of their fingers.Overall I am very happy with my purchase, especially since if any of the glasses break I can quickly and easily replace them for my parents.

The glass is much thinner (delicate) than I expected. Within a week of owning these, two of them spontaneously cracked in the dishwasher. They were in the top rack as they should have been. Also, a month after purchasing, the color is coming off, and I even found specks of it on other dishes. I'm disappointed with these and would not buy them again. It's a shame because the colors are beautiful, and I had high hopes for them.

These glasses were just the thing I was looking for to spruce up my drab kitchen and it's boring drinkware/dinnerware. They are pretty heavy duty, and I feel like they will last me years. I have not had the problems others have had regarding the paint peeling off after cleaning the glasses in the dishwasher. I have washed them several times that way, and they are still the same as when I first got them. Perhaps only slightly dulled from when I used a dishwashing solution that made all of my dishes cloudy, and some of them haven't improved with hard scrubbing. Even so, all of my friends that see these ask me where I got them and want them for themselves. Overall, I strongly recommend these glasses if you're looking for something to make your drinkware pop. Love them!

My initial response was that I was impressed with these colorful glasses. Now that I have had them a few months I can see how cheap they are. The colors (that I thought were actually part of the glass) are just painted on the bottoms... guess where they start wearing? That's right, the colors rub off over time from the bottoms. One glass broke this morning just going through a dishwasher cycle... no other glass anywhere near it. Also, the glass starts off very rapidly clouding through the was cycle as well. I have softened water and I use Finish with a powerball. Cloudy glasses aren't common for me. Overall They are decent enough... but the colors rubbing off after only two months... that is just cheap.

These are the prettiest glasses I have ever bought, but you need to know that they should be hand washed, or they break very easily. Also, after long use, the color is not embedded within the glass, but painted on the outside, and therefore can wear down, and not be as pretty.Bottom line is HAND WASH!When my son visits, he asks for the cool glasses:) He is 24yrs old-lol
