CoolttoWide Brim Sun Hats with Waterproof Breathable for Fishing, Hiking, Camping，for Men Women Kids

I wear this hat daily while doing landscaping for several hours a day at 7,000 ft. The extra-wide brim keeps the sun off my neck except very early or very late in the day. The extra-wide brim also doubles as a sail, in case you find yourself in a lake without a paddle.On first washing, the hat's fabric looked the same wet as dry; on first drying in a dryer, it crimped up and the fabric will never be flat again. There's conflicting information in the product literature on whether to machine-dry or not (the fabric coating says dry it, and the hat literature says don't). I made the wrong choice if keeping it from looking slightly pebbly is a goal.Despite the excellent dark-green color, wearing this hat makes what I would term a significant difference in how hot I feel when it's full sun and 97 degrees F. I would always, without hesitation, choose to wear this hat in such conditions. I think it looks great, it fits my big basketball head well with no cinching of the internal adjuster, and it stays on without causing a headache due to being too tight. I think using the chin strap looks a bit awkward, but that beats chasing the best hat ever, into the neighbor's yard that's full of dog poop landmines. It also beats pulling it out of the lake, in which it will quickly sink and possibly be found during the next drought.I haven't been removing the snap-off top, since that only leaves mesh and kinda defeats the point of a hat for those of us with no hair upstairs. I leave one of the four snaps undone for a little better ventilation. With the snap-off top in place, the hat effectively sheds rain and even (as a test) sheds garden hose water at full pressure. I can feel the cool of the hose water, but it doesn't let any through.Very few downsides to this hat, and it quickly retired my other options (bandanas and a floppy fishing hat). I do collide with tree branches a bit while hiking; just something to get used to. My only suggestion: just don't dry it.

The good:-Price point for the hat is great for what itis.-The size is good, my hat size is 8 3/4 plusI have long hair. Like most hats whenyou're big headed it takes some time tostretch but didn't take too long now it fitssnug, but not too snug.- The size of the brim is really nice andwhat I was looking for, it's not ridiculouslylarge, however wide enough to keep yourface completely shaded and the back ofyour neck. Have also had other peoplecomment on the same thing, so it's notjust my opinion.The not so good:-Like other reviews said it came folded, it'slarge though so I'm not sure how youwould ship it effectively without doing so. Idon't think it's enough to ruin it. I've had itfor two summers and it still has a niceshape. I'm sure there is a way to iron it outif you look on you tube.Over all I say 5 stars for the price, size and material. I have yet to use it profusely but it has seemed to weather one Colorado summer well so far. And keeps the sunscreen off my face.

I’m my line of work we spend a lot of time working in environments that don’t have shade. My Excavator spends all day operating equipment that doesn’t always have a roof over them. He gets beat up pretty bad by the sun and heat. On top of that, he’s bald headed and gets sunburnt easily. I started searching through Amazon for a hat that would be fitting for his situation. I checked out a lot of hats and came across this one. I’ll be honest, I thought the brim was ridiculously large and thought it would be a funny joke for him to wear it while the rest of us teased him throughout the day.The day I gave him the hat he instantly put it on and loved it. The first job he had a chance to wear it, it was raining lightly all day. That dang hat kept him dry through most of the day. So that was a plus I didn’t factor in when buying. Since then it’s been in the 85-90 degree range with very bright sunlight. He says it keeps him cool through the day and likes the option to remove the cover over the crown of the hat that reveals a netted mesh to allow heat to escape. All in all, it’s a very good hat for a person who works in all day heat and sunshine without the benefit of having some shade. I would compare it to a hybrid of a boonie hat and a small sombrero. The military green is a nice touch to divert your coworkers from making fun of the big a** brim! All joking aside, this hat would be great for fishing, mowing the yard, and riding an open cab tractor in the fields. Don’t let the large brim detour you from purchasing. I believe you will appreciate it when the weather is rough and the day is long. I know my Buddy sure does.Best of luck to you all and I hope my little review is in some way helpful.

Fantastic hats, they offer a lot of sun protection as the brim is larger than typical hatsAnd has a removable top which it's nice when it's really hot

I was gifted one of these hats a couple months ago, and was skeptical because I expected it not to fit (I have a very big head). I was surprised, it was a perfect fit, and the wide brim provided full coverage for both my face and neck. I decided to order 2 additional hats, just to have in case anything happens to the one I have now.Unfortunately, they were both much too tight - out of the box I could tell but had to try them on just to make sure. I compared the tag to the new vs the one I have now, and while they're both from the same company, the stitching inside is very tight, contributing to the excessively tight fit. Unfortunately I'll have to return them both.For those with smaller heads, you'll find they're excellent - but for those of us with bigger heads, it's a toss-up on whether it'll work out or not.
