Did the job
Excellent product. I had to wrap 12" baffles and there is enough material to do the job at least twice, but I can only fit a single layer so your mileage may vary. Seems to be high quality and the tone is excellent on my bike. I found a video on YouTube of an older gentleman repacking HD mufflers and the advice he received from one well known exhaust company was to use a few strips of masking tape to hold your wrap, then encase the whole thing in a tight layer of masking tape. The company he spoke with said it would help the packing last longer, which would be nice, but for my application I would not have been able to squeeze the wrapped baffle into the tube without the peeling/slicing/shredding the outer layer of packing off so I recommend it as well.

Easy to use
My sons exhaust in his 400 ex was rattling and sounded a bit hollow, so he was scouring the internet for a new exhaust for days wanting to spend all his allowance until I told him that you can repack an old exhaust. After days more of reading reviews and wondering if people are just bad at installing exhaust batting or something, we landed on this brand and installed it in about 15 minutes after drilling out the old rivets and unbolting the exhaust, wrapped it tightly around the inside spark arrestor after cutting to length with scissors and slid it back in, then packed the rest of it in for good measure with a wooden ruler, was surprised at how good it sounds now and didn’t have any weird issues with it immediately blowing out like some people have claimed ? Not sure how that happens since this stuff is pretty tightly woven, overall great experience and will soon be buying more for the rest of the quads

As described
I'm going to install a spark arrestor and repack my silencer on my yz 250 F

A little bit of a PITA but worth it
I had a problem with the packing starting to come apart once I got it in the muffler and snug. But I wrapped it a bit tighter and it slid right in and certainly does the job of packing the muffler.

Works great. Nice and itchy!
Repacked the Lexx muffler on an 07 KLR. It was the exact amount needed to fill the space. Works great. Nice and quiet.

Started breaking apart right away and plugging spark arrestor.
Breaks apart right away. I repacked my exhaust with stainless steel wool as inner layer and this as outer layer. It breaks apart while wrapping luckily I had enough to have a clean sheet to wrap with and got rid of the old stuff. It started breaking apart right away when I first fired it up and was getting in the spark arrestor and blowing out on the ground for the tiny chunks that through it.It's definitely fiberglass also it's not ceramic. Not a strong weave at all I wouldn't reccomend.

IDK...might work for some
Seemed like decent enough stuff, but burned out on the first ride.

Muffler packing
Used to repack 08 yz85, 05 kx65 and my yz426f. This is rated to take the heat of my 4 stroke and was over kill for the 2 strokes. Made a great deal of sound difference. Much quieter than the clapped out stuff we removed. Overall would buy again no issues with product at all
