Feels high quality for a low price
For such a low price on this power strip, the body of the power strip feels substantial with thick plastic. It's too thick to have any give when you squeeze it. The seam doesn't creak like cheap plastic molded junk does. The plugs go in smoothly and completely and are gripped well with no danger of falling out.The best thing for me is that the cord is heavy and made of some kind of rubber on the outside instead of plastic. It means that it doesn't hold a stiff shape and can easily be routed around things to stay where you put it. It has a low-profile, right-angle plug where the cord comes out diagonally just to the right side of the ground pin if the pin is facing down.

Great product.
I just retired from I.T. I have been buying these surge protectors for the company for a decade. They hold up well and have enough outlets to run a full work station. The only way I would buy something else is if I needed USB charging.

Lots of peace of mind
With 2160 joules AND these impressive specs:Clamping Voltage (RMS) 150UL1449 Let Through Rating 330V L-G; 400V L-N; 400V N-GThis unit is great. In other words your devices won't see over 150 (RMS is averaged out AC voltage, AKA the 125V that is normal). The 330V relates to the peak amplitude, which is good too(and the lowest for any protection). Many manufactures do not publish this spec, so you don't know what your valuable beloved devices will be subject too. Usually these specs are given for the whole house units, and they are often higher.I use this for my router, switch and cable modem. I know people that had surges go thru the cable line(yes the cable line) enter the modem and destroy the modem, router, and computers hooked up via ethernet. So you can see this getting very expensive. The cable input has no speed loss for my cable modem. I used the cable modem signal strength and averaged it 10X before and after install. There were maybe .1 units of loss on average with this unit. Likely the same effect(or not even) as a neighbor getting cable. The numbers jump around .7 units...I also combine this with whole house power protection(I like the EATON units). I had surges where other brands blew up but all the equipment was saved. Don't wait until it is too late. If you don't have whole house power protection(strongly suggested) move up to a higher tier of outlet surge protection. Even without the whole house unit this will probably take care of 95% of issues. Finally, these things do lose ratings after a surge, if a surge happens it is best to replace all these units. A cheap price to pay to protect thousands.

Trusted protection
Clamping voltage 330. Joules are more about how many hits the unit can take. Clamping voltage is about how high the voltage will be allowed to spike. Many units with high joule ratings have a higher clamping voltage but it is the spike that fries your equipment, not the joules, and this has an excellent rating for clamping voltage.Units are small enough to be unobtrusive. It has LED lights to let you know things are working properly and when to replace. And Tripp Lite is all my IT company trusts to protect electronics. Never once had to use their guarantee against failure - they don't fail. Design is cool - you can put wall warts on the bottom inputs so you don't lose real estate to big transformers.Reasonable price for peace of mind.

It's thunderstorm season now
I got this to replace a 5-year old surge protector strip. After about 5 years, a surge protector is fried. It's thunderstorm season now and this is working well. The side facing sockets may or may not work for you depending on how close to the wall it is.

Great Power Strip
I keep coming back to this power strip again and again. Slowly replacing the other power strips in my house. Looks good, construction quality feels nice and the side outlets are very convenient for weird shaped power supplies. Will buy this again.

Great protection option
Needed a smaller strip but still the same protection and these are great. Definitely better than some competitors for the rating and protection.

Peace Of Mind
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Peace of mind. I trust TrippLite because our IT guy uses TrippLite and APC in our server room.I want to rest assured that my room won’t burn down and my appliances won’t burn out. It’s really for peace of mind. I also appreciate the side sockets that add two extra outlets. It was also the right length for my specific needs. I wanted something short and compact compared to most surge protectors, but I needed it to have 5 outlets, which is surprisingly difficult to find unless you’re willing to trust a brand you’ve never heard of. This one was perfect for me. I ended up buying 4 of these. Highly recommend.
