As a South African I have tried many many different dried sausages (droewors) in my life and I like it a certain way. Not dried to within an inch of its life and not bursting with uncooked fat that squelches between your teeth. This one is just fantastic. So much flavour and just the right texture. Yes it is pricey but who cares to get a really good quality product

Although the manufacturer is "The Biltong Man", this product is not biltong but is droewors i.e. dried sausage. It's a lightweight and long-lasting dried food which is ideal as a protein-rich food to be carried on multi-day hikes. Sometimes it's a bit tough and chewy, but that's the nature of dried meat products. Even so, it's easier to bite and chew than the average biltong.

This droewors has a bit too much fat content compared to meat content and leaves a taste of fat more than the meat taste flavour. buy droewors in many shops every year in trips to Cape Town and this one is too fatty, flavour balance is good and packaging good

I'm no connoisseur, and relatively new to the biltong/dried meat market, but this stuff I can say is great. Crunch the outer, chew the inner, taste the lotta! It's a good texture and great taste and the test is if I would buy it again. Yes I would. Like I say no connoisseur so not got lots to compare it to but as a standalone opinion it's top notch.

The Droëwors were not cure basically raw. For rugby match days we will order 20 kg of mixed biltong ( slabs with fat on, stokkies, shaved the lot) and about half that for the cricket, plus i dry my own personal snacks. We know biltong and this was bad we didn't return it binned it and sent and email.one month later got a response not one care given even tough that could make people ill.

Always good. Never had a bad batch. Roll on Xmas for the next treat

I've eaten lots of droewors in my life but never had one with so much fat in it.Bought twice from this supplier and after first bite of second order, remembered why I didn't like it the first time. Way too much fat
