Waring Pro MX1000R Professional 3.5-Horsepower Blender, Black

I have burned out so many blenders making smoothies over the years so I thought I would try this big daddy one and hope for the best. This guy is loud, large, and built to last. I can fill it up with ice and the motor hardly even pauses. Best of all it has a very large capacity so I can make a full glass of smoothie for all 5 of us in one go! The clean up is fun too. All you do is blend some soap and water in it. You never have to stick your hand down in it or fiddle with getting the bottom on or off because it is one solid piece that cleans itself. I don't think I will ever have to buy another blender again. Much to my kids delight I use this every day for snacks after school. Besides the juicer (Omega j8004) I have this is the only other kitchen countertop appliance I use every single day. I looked at Vita Mix and other compairable blenders but this one was cheaper, had a stronger motor, and fit better on my counter.**update**1/17/2014 It has been almost a year and this blender still looks new. I use it frequently and it never gets warm, jams up, or strains to get the job done. Before I would burn out a big box store blender every year or so but this one will be going strong for the foreseeable future.

I spent hours researching blenders and after compromising and buying something that was in the middle of Vitamix $$$ and your standard $100 blender I chose this one. It's a commercial strength blender which is suppose to mean durable and more powerful. Well its powerful enough but just 2 weeks into using this thing not excessively mind you...it randomly decided to turn itself on!!!! The only way to shut it off was to unplug it. Then after letting it sit it didn't turn on at all!!!! It started making a clicking sound like the electrical contacts were loose. Long story short....I'm returning it hoping to get one that works. If that one doesn't work I'm just gonna get my money back and start from scratch.

It is a very powerful blender. I love it very much. I use it twice a day.However, the bottom of the plastic jar was leaking. Once a while (happen occasionally not all the time), having difficulty to switch the power from "High" to "Low" or "Low" to "High"!!! I though the juice make the motor sticky, I wipe out very carefully both. Since then, it helps. Anyway, I still have a problem of the leaking jar.Returned it to the designated store (store information found from the warranty card) for repair on Sept 19, 2013. However received phone call, from JC Appliance, after 1 day.Lady from the store ask me, why I bring it over to them for repair?!?! She said: they don't service this blender!! She keep asking me where do I get their information!?!? She said she phoned the manufacture couple times, no body returning her call!! She doesn't know what to do with my blender!Phoned JC appliance on Sept 23, 2013 to follow up. Lady said, she is still waiting for their call!!!Sept 25, 2013 received phone call from JC appliance, lady said, I need to come and pick up my blender, since they DON'T service waring blender.It makes me very frustration!!! What should I do with my blender? I only use it for 6 months, it is still under warranty! I just want the plastic jar replacement. It has NO problem to blend, Kyle, Beet, Carrot in less than 2 minutes.The juice came out very smooth feel like a cotton, you don't feel any pulp in it. I use it to make the vegetable juice everyday.I love it, love it very much....! 8)

This blender is good and powerful. I purchased it to make smoothies in hopes that it would bust up the tiny little berry seeds. It did not. Although I returned the product, it worked very well in every other way.

After considering MANY other options, I bought the Waring Pro because of its claim of being used in a professional capacity. Since I would be making smoothies twice a day, I thought it would be the perfect choice. I use frozen fruit in my smoothies, and was shocked when it took a good 4-5 minutes to complete the process. The blender does a good job blending, but takes FOREVER!!! Good things: easy to clean and the pitcher is lightweight and easy to lift and pour. I am very disappointed in the amount of time it takes to get the job done, though. For the price, I expected WAY more :(

I got this to replace an Oster blender whose motor burned out. I ordered it without consulting my wife. Initially she was not happy because this one doesn't have all kinds of buttons etc. It is also extremely noisy, you have to hold onto it when using it or it will migrate off the counter, it is heavy, takes up a lot of space, it is pricey, and it can draw 12 amps (don't put it on the same circuit as the microwave!) However, these drawbacks are inconsequential if your principal concern is a product that actually does its job quickly and efficiently. Throw the ingredients in, put on your hearing protectors, turn it on, hold it down, and after 30 seconds or less, you are done. I suppose the pulse switch is useful in some situations but I have yet to need it. The plastic jar is also easier to clean than our old one, which had removable blades. My wife is now a believer even though she hates having to admit I was right! If you don't have hearing protectors I strongly urge you to order some with this blender. I measured the sound at 92 dB one foot away when making a particularly thick smoothie.

Product exactly as I expected. Powerful, easy to use, easy to clean .
