Melissa & Doug Peel & Press Sticker by Number - Butterfly Treasure Box

Like other reviewers, I'm unimpressed by the quality of this item. It's cardboard, and it won't hold up to very much abuse. The multi-level stickers also have a tendency to separate.I'm giving it four stars because 1) my kid just loves the thing and 2) it's cheap enough that I don't expect much durability. A 2.5 year old can't properly put the stickers on this without help (you need to match up numbers which is definitely beyond her ability), so we teamed up and I pointed out where things went. She had a lot of fun lining the transparent sheets of stickers up with the pictures on the "map," then putting them on the box where I told her to. Now she's really proud of having "made" it.Despite the fact that it's geared for older kids to do on their own, I'd definitely recommend it to parents who are willing to help younger kids as well.

This is a cute box and is fun to decorate. Shortly after finishing the box, the stickers started to peel off leaving some parts without gems. This was very sad for my 6 year-old who worked hard on her project. I have glued some pieces back on but more keep peeling. Cute, but not very practical.

I purchased this as a gift for my niece's birthday and she loved it. It was great putting the stickers on together and her learning where the stickers go. She loves her treasure box and has already started putting her treasures in it. The gift arrived in the time stated and was in the condition stated it was going to be in. I am pleased with the purchased and so is my niece.

I've always been fond of Melissa and Doug products, but I'm very disappointed in this one. This is a cheap cardboard box and is not made of wood as the product description claims. The stickers are ok, but as another buyer wrote in her review, some of the stickers are "stickers on stickers" and come off easily of you're not careful. I would not recommend purchasing this simply because the product description is deceptive, not made of wood as claimed. Its the principal of the matter. Plus, whatever happened to the ancient and almost extinct label, "Made in the USA"?

We loved this product!! I gave it as a gift to my 6-year old niece for Chanukah. She was so excited to open it. The box was shiny and pretty and was very sturdy. All the stickers were laid out neatly according to their numbers and everything was very clear. The jewels were gorgeous, the stickers were strong, and they matched up perfectly with the outline on the box. It took her about a half hour to complete it (she's quick and bright) and the finished product was beautiful. This is something that will sit on her dresser for a number of years, possibly even through her pre-teen/teen years. I personally hate cheap toys, I'm really glad this was not cheap. Only two regrets 1. my 6-year old daughter was very jealous, I should have bought one for her too. 2. I wish I could have spent a little more time with her on it, half an hour sure went by quickly. That said, I'm glad it was something easy to do during a family party, and it wasn't over-involved, messy, or complex. But the best thing is that she loved it!

Bought two of these for a pair of 6 year old girls to work on during the Christmas break, they worked well. The self stick adhesive on the "jewels" is pretty strong, and should hold on to the butterfly nicely.

I brought this box, because of the brand and the price too, but the that convinced me is that in the description said that is it Wooden but unfortunately is it not,the box that I receive is paper and that deception me. So I'm sorry but I don't recommend this product.

Much nicer than portrayed in pictures. A definite must for Grandma's who don't know what to get that granddaughter who knows her double digit numbers & is tired of crayolas, paints, play dough, etc. I would heartily recommend the mirror also. Much bigger, and more beautiful than the website picture. You won't go wrong with either of these. Split them up; one for Xmas; one for Valentines Day or a birthday. If I were a young Mom looking for presents for a kid's birthday from 6-8 yrs. old, I'd get any of these two. Good winter weather activity, too, when they can't go outside & tired of their toys.
