Recently, I've been building out my 2-car garage as a wood shop. I spend a lot of time out there and have been streaming my entertainment to an old laptop. That was getting cumbersome. Luckily, Black Friday came along at a good time - I upgraded to a 32" TV! Now... where to put it? Wall space is at a premium in my new shop. Lots of cabinets, etc. Table-top space is even more important, so it couldn't go there. Then it donned on me - bolt that sucker to the ceiling!After looking at just about every VESA-compatible ceiling mount that Amazon offers (within a reasonable price range), I decided to purchase this Cheetah. Boy, am I glad I did. I read a *ton* of horror stories about other mounts bending, breaking, warping, or being so poorly constructed that the user was hesitant to even install them. I wish I could give credit to the reviewer who mentioned that he went for a Cheetah mount, but I lost that review in the sea of others. So I'll say an anonymous "Thank You" to the person who helped me get to here.This mount is undeniably sturdy. The poles, plate, and mounting bracket are thick and well-made. The welds look great. The hardware that attaches everything is good quality, and the instructions that come with it are easy enough for pretty much anyone to understand. They even include a little plastic level bubble, a little keychain LED flashlight, and a nice HDMI cable. The installation was easy and I have no doubt that it will hold my new 32" TV securely for years to come. I really can't think of anything bad to say about this product, but just to show that I'm being fair - here are a couple of places I think Cheetah could make it even better:1) Better labeling of the hardware bags. It wasn't immediately obvious which pieces corresponded with which numbers in the instructions. It didn't take long to figure that out, but it might have saved me 5 minutes to have labeled bags.2) Some way to shorten the pole length. I get that this is intended to accommodate 32" - 65" TVs, but when using the low end of that range it drops the TV much lower than I like. Easily modified if you have the patience, the tools and the skills, but maybe more people would like the product more if it was easier to do.3) some sort of detent at perpendicular. the adjustability is nice, but having a positive stop at 90 degrees would make leveling much easier in many situations without sacrificing the ability to fine-tune to the user's needs.Those are minimal issues with an otherwise very fine product. 5 stars, well deserved.

I scoured the internet for a drop down bracket for an older heavy 52in Sharp LCD TV I had laying around. I had wanted to drop this from a slanted ceiling in a garage/man cave and was only coming up with motorized units, DIY units, plans to buy to build, super expensive units, but finally ran into this Cheetah product. Wow, this far exceeded my expectations and was JUST what I needed. I believe it would of worked perfectly for the slanted ceiling mount, but decided, placement wise it be better to mount it from the horizontal rafters. The unit came with EVERYTHING you need to mount it to both your structure and various sizes of TVs. Even came with a 15ft HDMI and some velcro ties to boot! This thing is sturdy, very well made. Its holding my 80lb TV and I feel comfortable that it would hold more weight. Instructions were easy to follow and it took about an hour to assemble, mount and get the TV mounted. Cheetah came through on this!

Excellent ceiling mount. Can fit various size televisions with different spaced mounting holes. Can mount to the ceiling at different angles depending on your situation. The pictures may be a little misleading though, maybe because they've changed the design over the years. The ceiling mounting plate is about 7.5 x 7.5 inches. Because it's so large, you need a large place for it to fit. And because the plate can tilt according to your ceiling angle, beware of which way the TV faces. With the TV on the side of the pole, gravity will pull the weight of the TV toward the back of the TV in attempt to level itself. This is important because the ceiling mounting plate can be configured to stop when installed in one direction only. If you mount the plate the wrong way, the pole won't be level up and down, and the TV will pull the pole back. If this happens, you'll need to flip the mounting plate so the tendency to pull will be stopped by top of the bolt in the curved slots. I'd recommend making sure to install it the right way the first time so you don't have to undo it and flip the mounting plate. Once installed, the TV can freely swivel left and right all the way around (except for the cords of course), but again, be aware of which way the TV will tend to pull. If you turn it 180 degrees, it will then pull the opposite direction. The pole can be moved up and down, but you have to take the TV down to slide the pole and change the two bolts. The company provides excellent customer support through Amazon with timely feedback. I would highly recommend this product if you need a ceiling mount and have a large sturdy spot to put the large mounting plate.

This mount is overall very good. It’s sturdy, holds the tv securely and gives options for height and swivel/pivot movement. There is is a negative to this in that it does block the hdmi ports located on the back of the TV. I got around this by ordering 2 hdmi 90 degree extension cables which were awkward to connect but worked to solve the problem; however, this could have been solved in manufacturing by increasing the size of the holes enough to allow a direct hdmi input.

I bought three different styled mounts to use this standard 43” Samsung tv on the patio. This was by far the most accommodating set up for the pitch of our back porch roof. Where the post meets the mount, I kept the middle Bolt tight but the top and bottom a bit more loose. This allows me to tuck the tv under the overhang when not in use. I bought the pole extension and with the 360° turning ability of the mount, I can have it face the two chairs on the covered patio or down to the couch on patio.Only thing I wish I did was tuck the wires in the pipe before putting the bolts through the extension. The plug head can’t fit passed the bolts.I hope to by another mount to be able to simply move the set up inside for winter.
