Big upgrade from 2600x
The price is great for a huge upgrade. Everyone wants the newest technology, but it's absolutely unnecessary for most people. I am actually a high end user and play video games, while also having 3 browsers open.... each with 20 to 50 tabs open.... while also usually downloading and having multiple apps open. The 2600x has worked great for me for 5 years, but recently has been struggling a tiny bit and I decided to upgrade. For a little more than a hundred bucks I got almost double the performance from this CPU. I probably won't need to upgrade again for another 5 years. It solved my SLIGHT performance issues. The 2600x was an amazing CPU and I have given it to a friend who only uses his computer for some basic things like paying bills and searching the internet and playing Youtube videos. He will likely use it for another 5 years. Most users dont need an upgrade, but if you do.... save yourself the ridiculous prices on new CPU tech and just buy this 5600x. It's a great value for a really great product.

Incredible performance. The best. No one does CPUs like AMD.But, folks, the time has come. Technology moves fast, and even though this processor is still fantastic, it's time to upgrade to something even more powerful. It’s sad, but that’s life. You move on to bigger and better things. To anyone looking for a solid processor that has stood the test of time, the Ryzen 5 5600X is a tremendous choice. You won't be disappointed. AMD, you’ve done a great job. But for me, it's time to say goodbye and move forward.
