Beautiful MCM style.
We love this sofa! It was quite firm at first, but it has broken in nicely after a few months of use. People comment on how nice it fits in our Mid Century Coastal living room (in progress). The color is beautiful and the fabric has been durable so far.The back cushion is too firm, so be ready to add throw pillows. And it is a little high compared to actual MCM furniture. An Ikea Stockholm coffee table is the right size to go with this sofa.

5 Stars After 4 Years of Daily Use in 2 Different Homes
The media could not be loaded. We purchased this Loveseat as our main sofa for our small apartment in 2020. We received delivery to our 3rd floor unit and assembled it pretty easily, and this piece has HELD UP as we go into 2025!THINGS WE LOVE:It's durable, easy to clean despite it's lighter color and an active toddler boy, and has survived a move with little care or preparation. The narrow arms means that for the 7' wide footprint, you can fit more people when entertaining. The height is great as it's easy to get up from for our older family members. We spot clean as needed, and have also fully removed the seat covers, washed them, and put them back on nearly dried (to avoid shrinking) with no issue.THINGS TO CONSIDER:The seat cushions do soften overtime, but are initially more firm than you may expect! Same with the back, but with such a deep seat, our plan was always to use throw pillows to soften the look and feel. As two taller people, we enjoy having something deep enough that we don't feel pushed off when adding pillows. The firmness means it keeps it's shape easier and doesn't get as messy as other softer style sofas, which is great if you're like us and your family/living rooms are the same space.

Gorgeous color
Just as shown. Great color and material. But the seat is pretty firm and foam-like so don't expect too much cushiness!

A Tale of Two Sofas - Good
I purchased a pair - one Teal, one Azure. Both advertised as free delivery. The boxing/packaging was great, attaching the legs were easy and I like the kangaroo pouch underneath for the shipping cover and other secrets. The upholstery fabric does like to attract tiny little cotton balls - I use packaging tape from USPS to remove when necessary. I read the other reviews, did my measuring and am overall very happy with them. I am 5'7" and can fully stretch out and take a nap, and yes, they are firm. The Azure sofa was shipped from somewhere in California and the Teal sofa was shipped from somewhere in New Jersey. The California Azure was exactly as described. The seating on the New Jersey Teal is not nearly as firm as the California Azure. The two cushions are off from one another in size, so the middle button seam coming down the back of the sofa doesn't match the gap between the cushions and the stitching is a bit off in places. The foam used in the cushions is softer, and there is now a noticeable depression in the cushion. The California Azure is still very firm. When the California Azure arrived, one skinny dude (the driver) with a dolly got it up all 40 steps to my 3rd floor unit via the back stairs all by himself and in less than 10 minutes. He waved off my gratuity attempt with a 'have a nice day'. No good deed goes unpunished. When the New Jersey Teal arrived, I was grateful that my friend from Brooklyn was here to help me understand the situation. The drivers of the truck, I guess, drove all the way out here, spoke very little English, but enough to let me know that they were charging me X number of dollars per step to deliver up to my unit, amounting to an easy Ben Franklin apiece, otherwise they would drop it in the alley right where they were. I said fine. My friend from Brooklyn, explained what was happening to me as he apparently has seen this before, told the drivers that they were by contract obligated to get it inside the building. The two of them struggled to get it in the building, and my friend from Brooklyn and I carried it up the rest of the way. Accented with bright yellow and fuchsia pillows, they look great.

How to make this beautiful sofa comfortable
This sofa looks as great as it's pictures and really completes my room with that Mid-Century Modern aesthetic. Unfortunately, the sofa is horribly uncomfortable. I mean it is like, unusably uncomfortable. But I look at this sofa and man it really is beautiful, so I figured I could fix the comfort side of things and have a solid comfortable sofa that fits my aesthetic. I have split this review into a few sections. Here we go:Why it is uncomfortable: to start with the seating level (height from floor to top of cushion) measures a whopping 20"! You might ask, is that a big deal? I will tell you - it is a big F#*! deal. To compare most sofas are 17 to 18 inches tall. You might also ask "Well, doesn't the foam cushion sink down a few inches when you sit on it? No! No, it doesn't. It doesn't move. It is softer than wood but has about the same give. I plan on cutting mine into fist size pieces and making stress balls out of it. .... So you sit down and you are 20" off the ground, now it gets really fun, or dumb, or just poorly designed. The seat cushion is 24" deep and meets the back support at a right angle. This means that if you were to sit down and scoot all the way back, first you will appear to be in an uncomfortable position (you are) second the position you are in will make you want to lift your legs higher, but guess what. you can't. Do you want to know why? Because you f#@! feet don't touch the floor. I am of average height (5'10") and my feet do not touch the floor when sitting all the way back on this torcher couch. So what do you do now?You have the couch/sofa of your aesthetic dreams but you can't sit on it without losing your mind. Go back to Amazon (or whatever) and start looking for some throw pillows. You're going to need a lot of them. Get some 20x20 some 16x16 and some 12x20 pillows. At least two of each. Next, do a search for "memory foam for cushions high density" and pick something at least 80' long and 24" wide. I would recommend 5" thick. Look for this number in the description 44ILD Firm. Don't be scared by the "Firm" description, it is nice and soft. Also, get some Upholstery Batting to fill in the last inch and make the new cushions fill out the covers. BTW the cushion covers and upholstery are really well constructed and have a 3.5-star feel. You will also need a utility blade or razor blade to cut the foam. Don't use scissors ... just trust me, the razor is way easier. Now cut the foam to fit, cover the foam with the batting and shove them into the cushion covers. Scatter the pillows around and have a much-deserved seat. Is it comfortable? Well, it is way better than is was and only cost about $100 - $150 in supplies. Not bad!Okay, now for the real deal. This is going to get a little hard so if your happy at this point, just stop reading. I am (as you may have guessed) still not as comfortable as I want to be on this beauty yet. The next step for me will be to flip the sofa over and remove the feet. I think you might know where I am heading with this. First, do you have a compound miter saw? I do. I also like to fix and build things so this might not be for everyone. On the flip side if you were looking for a good reason to buy a compound miter saw, well now you have one. The plan is to take about an inch off of each foot. (the sofa is still too high) I am going to set up a jig to help make each cut the same. I have not finished this part yet, I plan to do it this week and will update the review. On the plus side, the foot construction for the sofa is a quality design in that they are all identical. Cool, right! Okay, more to come...To sum this up:5 stars for the aesthetic look (mid-century modern) I love how this sofa looks. Just a beaut Clark.1 star for comfort. Truly unusably torturously uncomfortable. (this is not a joke, you will be disappointed)3.5 stars for the overall construction. The quality construction was the reason I decided to augment this sofa into a usable piece of furniture/art instead of returning it.So, if you don't want to fix a brand new purchase to make it usable DON'T buy this sofa. If like me the $750 price tag and the gorgeous mid-century aesthetic are what interested you and you are good at fixing stuff then pull the trigger now. You have your next project and a reason to buy that compound miter saw you have been thinking about. Plus throw pillows are really fun. I mean pillow fights are just the beginning. You can get all kinds of covers for them. You can get a print of your favorite animal, or person, or whatever on a custom "magic" pillow. You can make a theme sofa like Star Wars or a holiday sofa full of autumnal images. Do you like the beach? You can cover all those pillows in shells and sea-horses. The options are limitless. I think there is even an AI that combines the most searched images into an algorithm and prints custom covers. Roll the dice y'all. But here's the thing, you are going to need throw pillows, lots of them. Peace.-EchoArk
