I was looking for a more cost effective replacement for the Curlsmith In-Shower Style Fixer that worked just as well. The Curlsmith is great for my 3C curls, but I use a lot of gel and at $28 a tube, it was too much money. This Curl Jelly works fantastic! Really glad I found it. The only negative is that the fragrance is so strong. It does fade, but if they could lighten up on the fragrance, it'd be perfect.

The first time I used this I didn’t like it at all, but I think that’s because it works better if you use it on very wet hair. I have medium density, low porosity 2b hair and it left me with soft and defined curls. There was a little bit of crunch when I got done drying my hair, but that went away after scrunching it out.

2c/3a thin/normal hair here. It's very good, but I'm comparing it to a product that was my absolute favorite that got discontinued. The gel has a light hold with and gives a soft cast. Im noticing a bit of frizzy, sour not as much definition or hold as I hoped. I tried mixing a bit of high hold gel with it when applying and that's working well to get me to 4 day hair. Easy to brush through before washing and it washes out easily. Soft clean scent that I don't notice after applying.

My wife has curly hair and geard about this on the tik tok, so obviously she had to have it. It works really well, and leaves her curls looking great. The smell isn't the greatest, but it's not terrible either

This is the best gel I've found since Aussie changed their Instant Freeze formula. I have wavy/curly hair that needs extra hold (without weighing my hair down) to keep the curls from slumping. I WANT my gel to form a cast that will hold where I need it and allow me to sprunch away areas to soften. I love this gel and will continue to use it as long as they maintain the formula. The scent is pleasant and doesn't linger. The formula is thinner than most gels, but that makes it easy to spread.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT BUY THIS! I am not allergic to anything that I know of, but oh man I have been experiencing so much itchiness in my scalp since I started using this product.This curl jelly leaves white flakes in your hair very bad but ONLY when you REFRESH your hair with it mostly. I would often clarify my hair to remove the white flakes but then I would continue to style with this curl jelly not knowing that this curly gel was the culprit of my misery: even after clarifying my hair, I would still suffer from scalp itchiness and hair fallout.So this time around, I clarified my hair once again but did not style my hair with this curl jelly. Instead, I styled my hair with my tried and true hair gel, and OMG the scalp itchiness and hair fall out was gone for good! A whole week has passed since that wash day, and I have not experienced any itchiness or hair fallout at all.That’s when I realized that the curl jelly was the problem since that was the only thing I had changed in my routine.I threw all 3 that I bought in the garbage where they belong! Avoid this product at all cost to avoid the side effects explained in detail above. God bless!
