I give these to my senior dog. The vet heard a faint heart murmur a while back. They haven’t heard it again. It might have been nothing or the vet might have been mistaken, but my dog likes them and will eat them like a treat so I continue to give them to him.

I got a lot of different ones of this brand during they’re sale and my dogs like the blue 11 vitamins a lot better but I researched this brand and it’s in the top ten according to vets:)

My vet suggested a heart supplement for my 6 year old (small) dog (suspected heart disease via SonoPath). I have 2 other (small) dogs, both 10 years old. I decided to give this to all of them. They like the taste, gobble it up. I found this product met all the necessary supplement needs according to an article by the NIH. I give it to them with their dinner (always better to give supplements with a meal). It's too early to know how much this helps yet. I've only been giving it for about 10 days. One of my dogs has gingivitis and I read that some of the ingredients can reduce or stop gum inflammation, so I thought considering his age (10 yrs) and gum disease, it's a good idea to give it to him, too. Time will tell. So far, all 3 like it. The chew is about an inch in size, shaped like a heart. It's not sticky. I keep the container in a cool, dry place. I wanted this to work so bad, however my pups would not eat them no matter what I did, they have a weird fishy odor which I get is Omega. I tried hiding it in my ways and my dog would eat the outer item and leave this.

Having had many small dog rescues in my life I noticed that one of the main diseases they get as they get older are mitral valve and heart disease. My Yorkie is now 11 and, I wanted to start him on an Omega 3 or fish oil vitamin. Zesty Paws offers this really great product that contains the ingredients that are very helpful to sustain a proper working heart. I was going to get their salmon oil but, decided the heart shaped chew in this Cardiovascular product had the ingredients that I wanted and, it is easier to store. They are well packaged, delivered without breakage and, he loves the taste!
