Gund Baby Leo Lion Huggybuddy Baby Blanket

My daughters original gund is discontinued ( which btw is NOT cool dude. Our children get attached to these and they’re so hard to swap out. She’s had it for nearly two years since the day she came home from nicu and now y’all decide to carry tons of ugly dog colors but discontinue the duckens duck huggybuddy thanks a lot. Seriously it’s not okay to do that. You don’t need every color of the rainbow for a dog and not keep something that is more popular. A duck is for both girls and boys and y’all take it away)Anyways. Rant over.She’s addicted to treading the three silk tabs on the ducks head to go to sleep. She’s done it since day one. This is her main self soothing quirk she has. This is the only one that’s available that had silk on the head So it wasn’t up for debate although the lady bug is too cute!.I hope it will suffice. But the issue is the head of this is flat almost and doesn’t carry much shape like the actual head a giraffe and duck and dog and lady bud and all the others do. I don’t get why this one is flattened but it is. She doesn’t like that part and the silk isn’t soft yet so I’ll be washing it every few days with softener till it is. But I do love that she isn’t holding onto a cringe worthy matted lovey lol the duck has seen better days and it’s nice she has a fresh one. Hopefully she will adapt to this one sooner than later. It’s the same size and it’s nice and clean. I hope it holds up as well as the duck and I hope y’all don’t discontinue this one too soon. I may as well stock up and buy ten more to put up that way every year I’ll swap it lol or if she loses it I won’t lose my mind circling the city and our path to find it like I’ve done 1-3x a month with the duck lol these kids lose something they’re so addicted to having, and survive with to go to sleep, or self soothe themselves , and BOOM no more lovey because the manufacturer decided they’re not gonna make one of the most popular ones. Aside from disliking that choice they made and the flat head. And with the possibility of this one lasting as long as duckens the duck huggybuddy did then it’s a 5stars lol that’s it. Discontinue this one and I’m coming back to change my rating. Don’t try it gund!Also. It’s super soft. Did I mention that? It’s also got embroidered feats so it makes it safe since no eyes or noses will be popping off and be choked on. Love that. And she snuggles it and hugs it constantly to sleep or relax with and walk around. These things are adorable and I wish more had the silk features on the head like the duck and lion. Hopefully the fact the lion has a full Maine of silk will even out the loss of her duck. More silk to tread between her thumb and finger. Pray for me y’all!UPDATE. SHE LOVES IT! The head isn’t flat for her. Maybe an adult it seems too flat but for her it’s her little pillow and Snuggie. The sill going all around is amazing in her eyes because she can do as she pleases and her fingers easily have found their way to it. This came very fast too. So it was a life saver. I’m so happy Mr. Duckens Is in retirement and living the high life in the top of the closet hehe. She just hugs this thing and pets it while laying on the head with it between her shoulder and cheek it’s so sweet to see. I’m relieved she adapted quickly. By day two i was in the clear with the swap.

I’ve gotten one of these Gund Huggybuddies for each of my grandbabies. They’re so soft, so well made and up for all the cuddles. Our newest little man is going to love his lion.

My son absolutely loves his new lion! He’s 2.5 months and is able to grab it and play with it while in his car seat or in his bouncy seat and it keeps him company. It’s the perfect friend! Love.

First xmas gift for my newborn. Liked that it’s washable. Love that he gets multiple textures. No choking hazards at all. He’s too little to really give more of a review than that but so far so good.

So far she loves him! I like that it isn't furry so she cant get fuzz in her mouth. And the silk side is so soft too! She hugged him as soon as we gave him to her! And it's light enough not to worry as much if she sleep with him. However we not give him to her at bedtime yet because she is 3 months old.

Product arrived promptly and as described. I can’t attest to durability at this time but I do expect, since it’s a Gund, that it will hold up for a long time. It’s a gift for my 1st grandchild (boy) who we’re expecting to arrive in the next 2-3 weeks💕

Our older son was so proud to give this to his new baby brother. He loves how soft it is and I know our new baby will love it as he grows up.
