Does what it says on the tin.
So I was a little sceptical about just how efficient this would be, but you really CAN feel the hot air being pulled out and exhausted from your face, it's night and day, honestly I don't think I would be able to last in my Index very long if not for this exhausting some of that hot air out the front, it also seems to stop the lenses from steaming up during intense play sessions.Overall it just works brilliantly, my ONLY gripe with it is the price, sure it works but I feel like for 2 tiny fans in a plastic shroud nearly £40 is just asking too much money, I bet it only costs a few quid to make if that. But it does work, so it's a bit of a toss up.Overall thoughts? If you own an Index and are familiar with how much heat it can generate, I don't think you'll be disappointed, just remember though, it's not pulling cold air IN it's just simply moving the hot air OUT. Don't think this is some sort of air conditioning like i've seen people complain about in other reviews and on the internet.

Absolutely essential, just buy one it's 100% worth it
Fits really nicely into the headset and if you didn't already know what an index looks like you would just assume this is part of it as it looks very natural. You won't feel a stream of air coming through the headset but you will notice a significant improvement of comfort as the screens don't feel like they're slowly grilling your eyeballs whilst you play. It's pretty subtle, but if you forget to turn it on you will realise after only a few minutes, it really is a massive quality of life improvement especially for long sessions or games with lots of movement. The only thing I would suggest is an LED to indicate weather or not it's turned on because it's not always easy to tell and the fan doesn't turn off when the headset does but this is a relatively minor problem. If you use this and a counterweight on the back of the headset your comfort levels will improve dramatically and you'll be able to stay in VR almost as long as you want.Do your face a favour and get one!

It has ups and downs
Sooooo basically the price is a bit much but it works, easy to install as long as you do it the correct way around and it does pull alot of the heat away from your face but if you wear contacts like me don't have it on for too long, it can make your contacts dry up a bit faster than normal, the noise is defiantly notisable and it ramps up and down depending of your looking down or up. Overall its quite good for hot games like beat saber or bas but I games like vrchat I just occasionally turn it on so it pulls the heat out. I would reccomend if you're okay with all those problems

TLDR It's a bit expensive but it works well.
The packaging is small and efficient yet a very high quality, the instructions are small and concise. Plug in the USB and the fan has a sturdy and satisfying click when it is inserted in to place, I have immediate faith that it will stay in place and it looks sleek and fits in seamlessly with the Index headset. Out of the headset the fan whir is noticeable but not annoying or intrusive, once in VR the noise is lost under the quietist of ambient game sound. The affects are felt right away, initially it is the feeling of cool air being sucked in through the nose gap in the headset and circulating around the face and eyes, at first I felt my face was almost too cold. After some time you can hover your hand over the front fans and feel the warm air being pulled away from you. At this point my face was no warmer than the rest of my body and there was no sign of sweat or lens fog and by the end of my hour long play session that was still the case.I debated purchasing this for a while as I felt it was overpriced but now I can see that I have significantly improved the comfort of all future VR sessions. If your face gets hot and sweaty in VR and you can afford the slightly pricey upgrade, I definitely recommend it!

Great little accessory
Great little fan, works well and cools the headset down pretty quickly, also has the side benefit of blowing very shuttle cold air to the face which is not noticeable to the point where you feel the breeze but it keeps your face cool. One slight draw back is the noise, it isn’t very loud but unless you have the volume above 50% you’ll hear the fans.

Awesome cooling
I would go as far too say that with this I get less sweat than my quest 2! A lot of people don't go for this due too the "fan noise" but I can deter those worries.. As you only ever hear it when there's no sound happening in the index... And another important thing I didn't see when looking at reviews... The mic of the index does not pick up this light hum of the fan or at least not noticeable enough for anyone too hear it :) this is an awesome product and looks really cool and honestly I kinda like the white noise between loading screens

It works
its good enough. makes the lenses not fog up, but makes a bit of audible noise when it gets quiet.
