We lived in this house but we shared it inside and outside with a huge variety of bugs in all their myriad forms: their shapes,sizes, colours, patterns, came in an endless variety. Most had legs! Legs which took them away from harm or into our space. It was a time to live and let live. Until a sudden unexpected encounter would result in a shiver up the spine and an instinctive squash of that hapless creature which had wandered too close to the much bigger human.
