Nice addition to my arsenal of Zoom recorders. 32 bit float makes it easy to get up and running especially since I'm a one man production company.

This has been my go-to mic recorder combination for the past few attempts of recording myself using my GoPro... The reason for this is that I like the small form factor of the GoPro and would not like changing that by adding the media mod, so a great alternative is to use this little recorder. I'ts been great, with the included mic as well as my Rode filmmaker kit mic. One extra step when you edit the video, to sync audio, but I give a few loud claps before I start recording and that makes syncing audio very easy. Sound quality is much better than the GoPro built in microphone, and unexpected load noises does not ruin your sound. I talk soft and I usually hide the mic under my shirt, so it really has to work hard and even with all those variables I still get very good usable sound that I am happy to use on my video's. Also, with it recording in 32-Bit Float there is so much that you can do with it in post production, however for the most part I just fixed the volume and did not do much else and it was perfectly acceptable. Brilliant investment, love it so much.

Worked perfectly right out of the box. Was worried that there might have been some issues with popping noises due to the mic connection as highlighted by many at launch, but my worries were unfoundedZoom seems to have rectified the issue and it works flawlessly now.I have both a dr-10l and zoom f2 that I use interchangeably, preferring the zoom f2 when in a less controlled environment (usually outdoor) due to its 32-bit float.
