Never thought I’d write a review for a router bit, but this was a whole different experience. There must be something with how the bit is weighted. When it came up to speed, my router just sounded like it wasn’t wrestling with the bit. I’ve got almost identical bits from Bosch, and several from Freud. This thing cut so smooth, and didn’t work hard. I’m working with extremely dense exotic wood, and I had no tear out, and it just got it done. The Bosch bit tore out a bunch and the Freud bits don’t seem to take advantage of the 1/2 shank by adding some weight to to provide some centrifugal qualities. it. Clearly I have no idea why this is hands done a superior product, but it is. There was no second place.Fact: If you didn’t know where the line “there is no second place” comes from, it was the Queen of England at the inaugural worldwide yacht race in England.
