solid medium-end Xeon for server work
Almost no point writing a review for an Intel CPU since everyone generally knows what they do. Stuffing two of these into a dual-Xeon mobo (X10DRL-I-O in my case) resulted in an excellent 16-core/32-thread system (8-core/16-thread per socket) which topped out at 200W power consumption at the AC outlet running at full load.-Matt

I have two of these things in my workstation and they are monsters. No matter what I throw at this computer, it never slows down. I can run databases, encode HD videos, watch hd videos, do programming, compiling, and debugging all at the same time and it never lags.

8 cores, 16 logical cores, 2.1GHz with turbo... Outstanding server processor for a hypervisor. Most servers need more cores than Mhz. this thing does the job very well, all while just sipping power.
