Easy to install, sure. And has stayed on fine despite being a metal chimney, even through hurricane winds.But the welds between the mesh and the cap, completely disintegrated after a year. In fact the mesh where it joins the cap, just crumbled entirely. What was one piece of metal, fell apart into two in my hands.Not even remotely close to a 7-year design. Hate to leave a bad review, but no choice here.

Seems very good quality, just be sure your flue outer diameter matches this product. My flue was 14.75", and it did not fit, until I used a recipro saw carbide blade to grind down the clay flue diameter. It's rated for marine environments, so hopefully it will survive the foggy coastal conditions. Wish they'd made a product between this size and the next one up (which from its product description also didn't sound like it would fit), but perhaps adding mortar or other filler (for the larger product) would have been easier than grinding down my flue (for the smaller one).

This product was very easy to install, but in less than a year, the mesh (on the sides) has all rotted and we have to replace. This wouldn't be a big deal because the price is cheap, but our roof is over 17' tall and we have trouble finding someone to install. Depending on how long you want it to last, this is ok for short term, but I would invest in a more expensive one.

Very easy installation. Only drawback was the hoop isn't exactly a circle, so that made install just a little harder to line up, but not a problem.

I'm happy with this product. I had to rivet 3/4" brass blocks to each of the clamping surfaces to get it to hold onto my12-3/4 outside diameter concrete flu pipe, but i understood that when I bought it.

I love this!!! It was very easy to install and keeps it safe so that wildlife can not get into the fireplace.

Exactly as described not difficult to install.

Last about 15 months. Easy to install and remove. But it fell apart after 15 months. And I only burn in the winter.

This is the perfect fit. We will see the durability.
