The Evernew "Water Carry" line of collapsable hydration bladders once again demonstrates Evernew's attention to detail in considering the backpacker's needs.

Great Bottle!! Just as good, if not better, than the Platypus Soft bottles - with the bonus of the cap not getting lost!!
The Evernew soft bottle has an edge over the Platypus soft bottles in that the cap stays attached to the bottle when you drink out of it, or fill it. I own most every type and size of the Platypus soft sided bottles - from the 16 oz to the 2 Liter versions, including the Plus bottles! I also own both the Push / Pull and Closure caps on the Platypus - and the issue with both is that it is possible to lose them - especially the closure cap, as when you take it off to fill or drink, it can get misplaced. The push / pull cap at least stays on when you drink, but it has to be removed to fill it.That is where these Evernew bottles shine - the cap stays attached, and it is virtually impossible to lose it! But there are other nice features to the Evernew bottles that make them shine over the Platy bottles IMHO. For instance, the shock cord that is attached to the bottle - this allows you to roll up the bottle and secure it for portable storage. With the Platypus bottle, you need a rubber band, or a separate cord, or you have to supply your own shock cord (if you have it). The shock cord coming attached to the Evernew is a nice touch.Another bonus - the Evernew bottle threads directly on to the Sawyer Mini Filter, or the Sawyer Squeeze Filter! This means that when the crummy Sawyer bottles break (and they will), you can employ these as either your dirty reservoir, or clean reservoir. These bottles come in sizes up to 2 Liters, so if you need a bigger container, you can get one!In addition - I like the feel / durability of the Evernew bottle more than the Platypus. They stand up on their own better with liquid in them, have a stiffer feel, and for some reason they seem to dry faster than the Platypus when empty. And finally, and most importantly - these are priced well for the different sizes if you shop around. Considering I got this size for $8, and the 2 Liter size for $10, it would be tough to beat those prices for the quality you get.I would recommend these bottles to anyone looking for something compatible with Sawyer filters, or for just a standalone soft drinking bottle. Thanks for reading!

Add on for sawyer squeeze, must have!!!
I bought this to go with my sawyer squeeze and the fit is great (not as good as on the sawyer bag, but no leaks) I order the 2000ml one which seems like it will hold up well and rolls up small when not in use. I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone5 year update: still works great and it in great shape, still 5/5 stars and will keep recommending!

compatible with Sawyer mini. Comparable to Platypus and with a feature edge. More durable than a kitten.
I use this for camping/hiking and with my sawyer mini water filter to purify stream/lake water.I also have a similar platypus bottle. I use one for clean, filtered water and the other for dirty. This is lighter weight than the platypus, but also presumably thinner walled material and therefore potentially less durable.Price is similar for both at the time I'm writing this review. The Evernew has a lot going for it in terms of having what I feel is a better fit to my sawyer filter (IMO) compared to the Platypus. It also features a better, more ergonomic cap that attaches to the bottle, which keeps it out of the dirt and also from being dropped and lost in a stream. I take something off and put it down, and have a tendency to spend too much time trying to remember where I put it. So this works for me. It's also slightly lighter weight.Mine is still holding up well after several trips, but I am cautious (and might recommend caution be taken) about really squeezing this thing hard to force water through a filter faster. Usually, I just hang it up and let it mostly gravity feed without using a great deal of pressure. I'm actually MORE worried about accidentally puncturing it on something sharp than having it fail due to me squeezing it too hard. So, just like you shouldn't squeeze a kitten too hard, try not to squeeze your water bottles so hard.

Two reasons to buy this over the basic Sawyer Squeeze bags
Took this on the John Muir Trail to work with my Sawyer Squeeze and it worked flawlessly. I've had a 50% failure rate with the Sawyer bags but this one worked great. It's more expensive but worth it. For me, the 2 standout features are:1. Unlike Sawyer bags, this bag is clear so you can see if there are any particles are gunk in your water. Very important if you don't want to clog your filter.2. Lid is attached to bag. One less thing to lose or drop.

Great bag, no smell - glad I got these
I have not taken them backpacking yet but I did try them out ahead of time so I knew what I was getting myself into. These are very nicely designed. Thy stand up on their own, fold up very small when empty and have no odor whatsoever. They are a tad firm (crinkly?) but seem very durable and have a built in antibacterial. I bought 5 of the 2 liter for one desert trip and so far am extremely glad I got these due to the whole no smell thing that some water bags tend to have. I will try to remember to update this next month after my backpacking trip to let you know how they hold up but as of right now, I cannot imagine any issues popping up. Just remember to hold it by the throat when opening or closing or you will create a problem for yourself (they have dots printed on the bags to show finger placement). They freeze nicely too!

Better than platypus for Sawyer Mini
Looks like the price has doubled since I ordered a few weeks ago. But at the fifteen dollar range I feel it's a great purchase, especially since competitors like platypus have proprietary threads that don't play well with the Sawyer Mini. Rest assured, this one does. Package pics included since couldn't find any elsewhere.

Better than the competition in several important ways
Specifically purchased for compatibility with The Sawyer Mini Water Filter and am very pleased that the threads match up perfectly (unlike with the inferior Platypus bags ).Also better than the Platy bags is the easy grip screw cap with its little soft hinge thing to keep it attached.Much easier to grip with wet hands, and practically impossible to lose. Important and welcome.Appears to be excellently constructed and durable, and the attached shock-cord for holding it in a roll is also welcome.I wish I'd found these before wasting money on the less good and more expensive Platy bags. One lives and learns. High Quality, Lightweight
Very strong water bladder. Very very light. Screw-cap fits Sawyer water filter perfectly. This bladder is so good I have bought THREE more of the same brand: an Evernew 2000ml for camp water, and two Evernew 900ml , one for trail hydration, one for Sawyer input. This 1500ml I am repurposing for a 2-bottle wine bladder.Measured Weight: 36 gramsMeasured Capacity: 1427 ml Sawyer water filterEvernew 2000mlEvernew 900ml

Fantastic
Got this as I had heard and read lot of good reviews about this product. Firstly it comes from Japan and only took two weeks to arrive. Came well packaged and had contained a very courteous thank you from the company. Immediately tested it with my sawyer mini which was a perfect fit . I then hooked it up to my source converube which was also a perfect fit. I bought the. 1.5!litre which is a good size . I was surprised how light it was and but still feels robust even when full. I have a few nalgene cantene' which are good but heavier and are all wide mouth. I am going to order another one to use as my dirty water bottle for my sawyer mini.I will repost when i have given it a good road test but so far I'm very impressed .I have no hesitation in recommending this product and loved the good price .

Very useful!
Another one here who bought it to use with the Sawyer Mini Filter System. I haven't yet used it for that as the original one bag supplied with the filter is still going strong. However as a convenient amount of water to have in camp for an evening meal and a cuppa or two it's ideal. Then fill it again ready for breakfast :)It's also good for carrying drinking water on a walk if you don't mind using both hands when you have a drink. And of course, it takes up less and less room the more you drink.

I think this will last me a decade
This type of design, in being non-rigid; unlike conventional bottles, means that it doesn’t take up excess space, and as the water is drunk, it can be compressed.I bought this Evernew to replace my old FlexiFlask, which finally developed a crack in its underside after about 10 years. As its company no longer trades, I searched for an equivalent design, and ordered this Evernew. I’ve now used it on a couple of wild-campings in England’s Lake District, and it’s good. I think this Evernew design will last me a decade as well, as its plastic feels stronger and more flexible, more bend-ier; than the FlexiFlask.I store it in the side-pocked of my backpack, and this is the Evernew’s disadvantage, as it is wider than the old FlexiFlask, and is a bit difficult to stuff into the side pocket. The Evernew is 33 cm tall by 16.5 cm wide, whereas the old FlexFlask was 39 cm x 15 cm.
