Bissell 31k8 Big Green Deep Cleaning Machine

The Bissell Big Green is the best!!I have owned a regular Bissell Stream upright carpet cleaner for about 10 years, and have used it about three times a year.It did a good job of cleaning the carpets. But, I just bought a refurbished model 31K8. When I received it, I could tell it had been a rental unit, as the box said rental on it. and a few skuffs. This concerned me at first, but once I started the machine and cleaned my carpets, I could not believe how much more dirt came from my carpets that my old Bissell upright left behind. There were dark areas on my carpets where there had been a lot of traffic, but I could never get them clean with my old Bissell upright, but the Big Green cleaned those area so well you cannot tell it from the other areas of the carpets.I am really happy with the result, and would highly recommend buying one of the Bissell Big Green Machines, be it a refurbished unit or a new one. There are several models of the Big Green, and they all look much the same. I noticed on my refurbished rental, there is a digital hour meter, which kinda gives me an idea of the hours put on the unit. Which was 131 hours. Thats a lot of hours, and the seller was able to refurbish the unit, and it is working perfectly. I like the fact that the machine has lasted so long and was able to be repaired to like new function. Most commercial grade vacuums and deep cleaning machines are designed to be repaired, but units that are sold in most department stores are for household use only, and would never last 131 hours and usually are difficult for the user to repair, and only designed to last a few years. I figure, that if I only used my Big Green 3 or 4 hours a year, if it lasts another 131 hours thats a lot of years of cleaning. I do recommend buying the hose accessory, as it makes the big green a complete and versatile cleaning machine.
