The Anthropology of Religion, Magic, and Witchcraft (3rd Edition)

A textbook is a textbook, there's only so good they can get, but this one is one of the better ones.This book accomplishes one of the main ideas of being an anthropologist: be informative without judging. They present a wide variety of cultures and customs while also providing interesting history and stories. It was one of the more interesting textbooks that I've had to read and it did a decent job of keeping my attention. Good luck in your course!

Wonderful book. Was like brand new

Sure, it's just a textbook. I probably could have rented it for my class. I 1000% bought it for the title and how pretentious it will look on my bookshelf. It's a textbook. It's dry and reading it is kind of equivalent to rubbing sawdust in your eyes. But it's been a great conversation starter (because it looks just as pretentious as I had hoped it would on my bookshelf) and have had a few people ask to borrow it and read it. 10/10- Would highly recommend buying instead of renting to everyone majoring in anthropology or has even a slight interest in it.

All though I used this for my Anthropology class, it's truly a fascinating read. I highly recommend it for everyone if you love learning about different cultures and their beliefs.

Very good read. I got this textbook for a class and ended up reading cover to cover. I appreciated all the stories and examples of different cultures from around the world.

Needed this book for my anthro class. This book is small but very informative. It packed with writing and few pictures to help the descriptions. Its an easy read and the writers really make the terms easy to understand.

Used this for my college class and it was a very interesting book. Learned lots!
