eprouvage Fortifying Shampoo, For Revitalizing & Nourishing, 25 oz

There are very few shampoos that I can use that actually are reminiscent of shampoos. I am very allergic to most shampoos, so I always look for shampoos that are free of everything (silicone, parabens, perfumes ... etc). I went to ULTA to get my Dermorganic shampoo, however when they didn't have it, I turned my attention to this Eprouvage shampoo, It also lists no parabens or sulfates and so I decided to give it a try. ULTA was having a special, so I ended up with the shampoo, conditioner and deep masque.I am VERY MUCH in love with this shampoo!! NOW .... for those of you who are used to normal shampoos, be mindful of a couple of things:Lather - this shampoo does not lather much. For someone like me who is used to these "natural" shampoos, ANY lather is a blessing.... so I'm actually very happy with the lather on this particular one, it actually has some.Fragrance - I have read some reviews that say this shampoo smells bad. I don't think so personally, but then again, I'm used to the "natural" shampoos that either have no smell or TRULY have an unpleasant smell. This shampoo does have a delightful floral scent and whatever they put in there to add the scent does not bother my scalp so I am a happy camper.In addition to this, the shampoo does leave my hair so nice, smooth and clean, the conditioners are wonderful as well, I will definitely recommend this shampoo to anyone struggling with finding good hair products for sensitive scalps. (And even if you don't have a sensitive scalp, this IS a great product so I would definitely give it a try.... I'm just throwing that disclaimer in there because the complaints that I HAVE seen for this shampoo seem like they may be from people with plenty of options for shampoos :) )ULTA does not have 25 oz shampoo bottles, so this time I took to Amazon to get the BIG bottle :) I will be sticking with this shampoo for a long time to come.

Chemotherapy caused my hair to fall out. As it grew in, I found this shampoo to be light and gentle. No conditioner was needed. I still use it.

This was awful shampoo. It made my hair 'thicker', I guess, but tremendously unmanageable. If you have frizzy hair (as I have) DON'T use this. It will make it frizzier, believe me.

I love how it makes my hair soft and shiny. I was having a problem with my scalp itching any hair falling out. This shampoo and conditioner have really helped.

It works like Redken or Nioxin from what I can tell. I like the texture. Easy to work.

If you had asked me when I started using these Eprouvage products what I thought the first few months, I would have said "the very best I've ever used"....and that's because for almost 8 months after starting the shampoo, the serum and conditioner, my hair looked much fuller..Probably so because it slowed down the rate of hair fall out...Knowing hair goes through cycles of dormancy, growth, then fallout so hair can be replaced, I wasn't cognizant early on that these products were insuring that each hair stayed on my head longer....therefore I had less fell out and the appearance of more hair.. SoNow more than 8 months later, while still using these 3 products (shampoo, serum (daily) and conditioner), my hair began to shed...profoundly so....so much so that I was now having issues with how fast hair was shedding in relationship to howslow my new hairs were being replaced...Now I was dealing with thinning spots...and even balding spots...It's scary...I feelthese products manipulated the natural cycles of my hair growth and replacement, so it appears early on that you've got thicker, fuller hair....and this is because of less initial hair loss.....The ultimate end to this growth and dormancy manipulation is having hair that new hair isn't growing in as fast as it's falling out...and to me, that is very disturbing...Might not happen to everyone...just sharing it happened to me..And happened to my friend after I recommended these products to her...she had used them about 6 months and now tellingme she's losing hair faster than its growing back too...Her hair looks thinner too after at first appearing fuller....So my guess is that this manipulation of hair cycles initially appears to be positive....in the end, it's actually negative...I don't know what makes the growth cycle catch up to the fall-out cycle...I'm trying Andrew Lessman's Hair, Skin and Nails...his oral supplement that people have raved about...Hopefully this solves my super slow hair growth problem...

Very good smell and it works wonders soft and bounces nicely when dried.

Came exactly as expected. Price was good
