85,000 BTU Adjustable Portable Liquid Propane Gas Forced Air Heater, Height Adjustable, CSA Listed, Red, Heating up to 2,125 sqft

The media could not be loaded. So far, this heater has worked perfectly. I purchased this as an emergency heat source in case of power loss in my insulated steel building. In my test runs, it has performed admirably.Starting is simple: connect the propane, plug in the power cord, turn on the propane, press and hold ignition button for about 5-10 seconds, and you have heat. To turn it off, turn off the propane, and then unplug the unit. Done.As others have noted, the power cord is only a 6" pigtail. My guess is that it's short since it acts as the power switch for the unit. The propane inlet fitting is a 3/8 flare fitting and the regulator is a 20 psig model. It will NOT run on the common 11" WC regulators found on many gas grills, fire tables, etc.When running, it is slightly noisy, but not bad. The fan is well balanced so there's no excessive vibration or fan noise. A quirky thing I found was that the High/Low knob labeling seems backwards to me, but it's obviously not hard to figure out. The markings just seem backwards to me. (See video for differences.)I live at 6400 feet MSL, so I'm always curious how a non-adjustable burner such as this is going to perform. I wasn't disappointed; it fired off promptly and ran properly. The barrel stayed cool throughout the heater's operation - which one should expect, but is always good to verify.The specs on this say that it will heat a 2000+ square foot area. Since cubic feet is really the pertinent variable, I ran some tests and generated the following data. Your mileage may vary...My insulated metal building has three roll-up doors (that aren't sealed well) and is 40x50 feet with a gable peak of 19 feet, giving a rough volume of 33,000 cubic feet. I ran the heater on both Low and High settings and tested how much time and how much fuel was necessary to raise the indoor temperature 5 degrees F. (interior temp ~ 35-40 degress F; exterior temp ~ 21-20 degrees F.) Here are the results:Low setting: 35 minutes and 1.2 lbs of propane to raise the temp 5 degrees F.High Setting: 23 minutes and 1.6 lbs of propane to raise the temp 5 degrees F.Given this data, I can expect to heat my 33,000 c.f. barn 10 degrees F in 1 hr. 10 mins. on low using 2.4 lbs of propane, or 46 minutes on high using 3.2 lbs of propane. You may also deduce that this will burn 0.034 lbs of propane per minute on low, and 0.07 lbs of propane per minute on high. However, my data sampling methods are probably not precise enough for that level of granularity, so just keep in mind that those are VERY generalized numbers and plan accordingly.The original idea for this heater is as a back-up heat source for my insulated metal building where I keep my travel trailer. Using the trailer’s propane tanks and a small 150 watt inverter connected to the battery bank, I was able to successfully run this heater without issue.So, in short, this 85,000 BTU propane heater lives up to its billing and does what I need it to do at a decent price point. 5 stars.

I have a shop in my garage and in the middle of winter I have to get out there and saw boards for my Sign business. This is stupid easy to use and it works like a blast furnace on the high setting. Love it! The garage is warm in five minutes and toasty in 10. I then switch it to the lower setting and it stays warm (yes, even at -10.) Great product. It uses a standard barbecue size propane tank that lasts about 12 hours using it in this manner. It’s quiet compared to older models but still make some noise on the high setting. Nothing so loud you can’t conduct your business though.

The unit will heat a large room in minutes...wonderful...there is no ON/OFF switch, so you must unplug. Uses lots of propane.

This propane heater works as well as a kerosene heater, but it produces half the noise and almost no fumes. I am using it to heat a house under construction and it does a great job in warming up an entire floor in an hour or so. The variable heat control helps conserve fuel once the initial heating of the house is done. It will run approximately 8 hours on high or 12 hours on low on a 20# tank of propane. Definitely would buy it again.

I have a 1200 sf shop and this heater warms it up quickly. I live in the south, so I don't use it that often but when needed it's nice to have.

Have a 4 bay garage. Door closed it gets to 70 from 40 in 10 minutes. Door open working on vehicle keeps it about 50 when it's 30 out...so makes everything at least tolerable in the winter. Great but. Just make sure you have a back up tank cause it cooks through one with about 2 days use. But awesome product

My husband likes this heater for his garage when he’s working outside and it’s cold. He can keep the garage doors open and works on his carpentry (metal garage 30x35 ) and it’s warm inside
