Canon Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1

I had an issue with the shipping of the product, it required a signature unfortunately with my work schedule I was unable to pick this product up from the post office, seller sent another one without signature which was perfect these guys are amazing and the product works to, highly recommend seller.

I dont use this for my main shooting, however when im on vacation or not near my desktops I am able to put this in my camera and download the photos i took onto my phone. For me, this is very convenient and worth the money alone. I use it for shooting if im shooting me and other and i want to control the settings (i find handing the camera to friends or family to shoot me and a friends ends up with bad cropping and composition or focus so this allows me to line up the shot, get in focus, and then take the shot from my phone so i know Im the one controlling everything about the image)

Works very well in my Canon. This WiFi card saves a lot of time for sure. No more pulling shots off of the CF card manually.

I have Eos Mark 7 and I could not get it to connect. I will keep trying to get it to work.

I bought this to replace my Eye Fi card in my 7D2. Th biggest disadvantage is it took up the SD card slot and lost the dual slot advantage. As far as the transfer speed is concern, they are comparable. The advantage is the card allows remote shooting with mobile phone. if that is important to you, by all means this is for you.The set up is not too hard, you can go Youtube and there are plenty of tutorials on how to upgrade your firmware and then how to connect...etc.I also have the newer 6D2, the W-E1 with the 7D2 transfer is more reliable than the 6D2. The 6D2 at times will pause and have to wait to wait for the image to load. Note that I only refer to transfer of Large Jpeg images and not RAW files. I think it is better to transfer RAW files with the card connect directly to the computer.

Wow! Using this wifi card in my Canon 5ds combined with the official Canon app not only means I can transfer photos, but using my phone with the camera connected I now have touch screen focusing by using my phone from a distance. Yes! This camera has now become more of a powerhouse than any camera on the market. Thank you Canon! That is worth buying another card, just in case I lose one.

I use this for connecting my camera to my phone for quick photo processing and posting to social media. I still use a cable connected to PC for true photo processing but since wifi connect was not natively available on the 7D Mark II, this wifi SD card slot adapter fit the bill.
