It will charge the batter that came with the equipment, but unfortunately you will need to get a common AC - USB wall outlet, like the one for cell phones, but they're very cheap and found nearly everywhere.

Yes I have the Nikon p1000 and this is the correct battery and the correct charger for my camera. this is a great little charger base it has indicator light so you can tell when something is charging and when it is also fully charged. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and I love my Nikon p1000 although I'm still learning how to use it.

Will the use of these batteries void the manufacturers warranty for a P1000 camera and will they actually work in this camera??

They work in my P950. Shorter life than the Nikon battery. Don’t know about warranty

Satisfied with this product

I purchased these batteries for my Nikon CoolPix 950. I have the original battery and just needed more to make it through a day on the trail. These batteries will not get you quite as many pics as the original Nikon battery, but you get 2 and a charger for 1/2 the price of 1 Nikon battery so that makes them a good option. I normally get around 130-140 pics from the Nikon battery and only 80-90 from these, but with the 2 it gives me plenty of battery power.

Batteries and Charger Work Great in My Nikon P1000

Tried these batteries instead of name brand, since my less than year old Nikon wouldn't charge anymore. These were 1/3 less, and came with 2 batteries and a dual bay charger. These fit my Nikon P1000 and seem to be working fine. Do to only having them for short period, I can't really comment on capacity. However, out of curiosity I used the new charger on my "bad" Nikon battery. I was very surprised and happy to see that the new charger successfully charged my "bad" battery. Then I tried a bad for 18 month battery I had sitting on the shelf, and it too is now fully charged. I attribute it to different charging methods, but this BM charger seems to work very well.

Bought it on a whim but super happy

I have my Nikon P1000 for four years now. I love it, but over time, I noticed its performance started to change. I didn't really put one and one together until I bought these batteries as a back up, for I am out of town and forgot to take the USB cable with me. When I put in one of the new batteries, I realized that even though my original battery was charging, it must have weakened over time to where it affected the camera's performance. Now it's back to itself and I am excited I can use it as I intended. Short version: works well, charges quick, definitely recommended to have in addition or as a backup to the original battery.
