For the Leather Key Ring and Leather Loop:Very well made with no unnecessary embellishments. The leather is quite fine, the stitching is ridiculously precise, and the stainless steel ring is extra large and extra shiny. The closure stud is firm and feels secure — it’s much the same on all the Apple-made AirTag accessories. On the leather loop while the material has been thinned and narrowed in some places because of the design of the piece, it does not feel as though there are weak points. It looks good on luggage.I have purchased both the saddle brown and (PRODUCT)Red colour options, and I can confirm they are precise matches for all the other leather Apple accessories in those colours. Apple's leather is open grain, so expect the colour to change over time with handling.For the standard Loop:I expected this to be similar in construction and feel to the sport straps for Apple Watch, but it is not. This is a good thing because there are clear areas that would have been weak points, e.g. around the ‘slot’ and ‘hole’ through which you pass the AirTag to complete the loop.The construction of the Loop is actually a sandwich comprising an inner layer, with a satin-style outer layer glued to each side. It seems quite tough to be fair and works well. The stud closure is basically the same as the one on the leather key ring, and feels firm and trustworthy.The price of each item is quite steep for what it is, but then of course it’s Apple. So if you’re buying one of these you probably accept that premium price point on the way in. There are cheaper options on the market, sure, but be advised that the cheaper third party ‘leather’ items are almost invariably going to be PU leather, which is a composite of polyurethane plastic and split leather byproducts from the process that makes ‘real’ leather. PU leather has different environmental impacts to full grain leather, and generally doesn’t last as long.I advise keeping an eye on Amazon’s own price for the accessories you want, because they drop occasionally and briefly for no obvious reason. I was fortunate enough to spot a six quid discount on the red key ring on launch day, and a four quid discount on the brown leather loop a couple of weeks after. Certain of these accessories are now routinely getting up to fifty percent discounts.There is no AirTag included with the key ring or the loop, in case you wondered. The one pictured is for illustration only.

I've had a few Chinese versions of this which claimed to be "leather" but were in fact plastic. Whilst the Chinese plastic variants cost about £10, the Apple version is apparently proper leather, but is it worth 3x the price? Simple answer is no. It looks pretty much the same as Chinese versions and to be honest the leather doesn't strike me a high quality. It's quite thin, feels pretty much the same as plastic versions, and whilst coming in a nice Apple box it's crazy to pay +£30 for this. It does its job, looks average, and costs too much, so 3 stars.

Nice product but it’s not cheap !

I'm happy with my purchase, only 4 stars as it is a bit pricey for what you get however, the quality of the item is as you would expect from Apple. I could have bought a cheaper knock off, but I prefer to pay the extra.I'm bemused by the one star reviews that claim to not know they were not getting an airtag as well, and claiming in some way to feel swindled. The description quite clearly states you do not get an airtag supplied, so I can only assume people couldn't be bothered to read through before purchasing. Oh well, lesson learnt......

Stupidly expensive but to be honest its the best there is for the airtag. Much more durable and I dont worry about losing the tag on my car keys ! Crazy expensive but that's apple for you !

This Leather holder won't last, over the past year it has ripped. Whereas the silicone one did not.

I have a project red phone case, watch and air tag cases, they all look gorgeous.This AirTag case is no exception, it really is great quality as you'd expect from apple, I have a few red ones and a couple of other colours, but the red is the standout one for me.Don't save a pound or two on an inferior product.
