Heats Up Fast/ Stays Hot
The feel is of cheaply made plastic. It won't put up with dropping or careless use. Other than that, it works fine. The unit heats up fast and stays hot through the cutting process. It also cools down fast. Comes in a cardboard box but the box has a foam cutout for the tool and it's bits to fit snugly in.

Wish I had bought one sooner!
I was able to set the wire to the desired height. By using the tool 'upside down' I could swipe along the cutting mat and remove the rims of these foam bowls to fit the boxes I need to ship them in. By adjusting the wire or the angle of the tool I can alter the depth of the bowl and create a top to fit just inside the bottom. A little tape and I'm all set. Happy-Happy!

Cut foam like butta
I purchased this to trim down foam blocks to make a tiered display. A very expensive piece of equipment for a cheap project. But I’m glad I got it, because I purchased a shelf that had a ton of styrofoam packaging and my garbage can isn’t very large, so I used this to cut down the large pieces of foam small enough to fit. I mainly used the wire, since it was easier to slice through the thicker foam. I didn’t have the right set up to use the wire like a table saw, which is what I originally intended to do in order to make straight cuts, but I eye-balled it and it worked okay. The one thing I learned was that when you mark your cut lines, it won’t be the size you’d expect like cutting with a knife. It will be a few millimeters shorter, especially if you use the rod, since you’re melting the foam, not cutting through it. Also, operate it in an open area, or outside. Burnt foam smells. Anyhoo, it was fun using the wire to trim down the foam blocks. I always seem to purchase items that require foam packaging, so this will be useful to use, since I don’t plan to use it for craft purposes.

Works well for hobbies
The hand held device it's rechargeable and convenient to use for small scale hobbies around the house. Use In well Ventilated area because of the chemicals in melted foam. For large scale projects , I wouldn't recommend using this on them, You would need a table mounted version.

Great value
Very easy to use and quick! It cuts like, well, like a hot knife through butter, which I suppose is the point. I really like that it comes with two gauges of wire, and the table clamp is quite handy if you get a bit creative with how you use it. Be sure to use this in a well ventilated area and/or with an appropriated mask - the fumes are quite nasty to your health.

Expect it to break
Save your money - do not buy this tool. My project for this tool got delayed so unfortunately, I only opened it and used it a few days after the return window closed. One of the attachments didn't work out of the box and one of the other attachments stopped working about 10 minutes into using it. Not sure how to contact the seller but hopefully they will issue a refund when I figure that out.

Not sure
I was expecting a very sturdy product. The U shape tool has to be assembled and it didn't work for me. One of the tools broke when i was cutting foam. I had returned the product. Not sure which one to order next time.
