Powerhouse
I wanted a manual Vitamix because I previously bought an A3500 and it broke in a year. Just got it out of the box to do a smoothie and it worked like a charm. My intent is to use it for my weight loss journey. Thanks Vitamix!

Like a Ferrari for the Kitchen
This thing rocks. Easy to use, easy to clean. Has the power and engineering to make everything smooth. Gets all the little peanut bits in the mole and turns out a perfectly smooth sauce. Looks good and is easy to use. High end NSF carafe is tall enough to use for small amounts with the top off. Amazing daiquiris, the ice doesn't stand a chance. The blender can be used all night and never sounds like it is even remotely concerned. I bought the refurbished unit for a little over $300, a smoking good deal. We have been using it for months now on a regular basis with out a single issue. I highly recommend this blender.

Most people don't know from one blender to the next. VITAMIX is in a league of their own. There is no better blender on the market today for any price.

Great build quality and power, but has trouble with small servings
This blender has more power than you will ever need. However, when blending individual-sized protein smoothies (32 oz), it experiences cavitation problems, even at low speeds. When I fill the entire blender (64 oz), there are no such problems.If your goal is to make individual sized smoothies, you are better off getting a less powerful blender with a smaller container. Alternatively, you could get a blender with multiple containers that have different sizes.
