I previously owned Speedo paddles, so I can compare the Speedo to the Sporti.The round rubber straps on the Sporti have a solid core and are stiffer than the Speedo hollow tube straps. The Sporti solid core seems more durable for a longer life before the rubber degrades and breaks.The Sporti has much fewer holes and a comfortable palm support bump, and I noticed greater thrust when paddling due to the fewer holes. The Speedo has a lot of holes which creates turbulence in the palm area which massages the palm.The Speedo has some stylish artwork on the top side, the Sporti is simpler.Last but not least the Sporti has a lower price than the Speedo.

Of the various brands and styles of swim paddles, including the webbed glove styles, I chose Sporti for value being defined (for me anyway) by a mixture of price, ergonomics, and customer reviews. The health club where I swim has random selections of paddles, fins, kick boards and floatation devices on hand. These are mainly for swim team training and class activities. So I was able to try different styles and get a feel for the resistance levels between them. I expected to be satisfied with my purchase and—wudduh ya know—I am!

I love these paddles. They make me not only go faster but also focus on my form when swimming. I highly recommend!!!

The rubber straps are not long enough and tend to slip out every ten to fifteen laps. Other than dealing with the short straps these paddles are great.

Works great for my 13 year old for the summer swim team!
