Great size and can operate with one hand
The media could not be loaded. Keeps contents cold for a good amount of time and is easy to operate with one hand for ease of use. I did have an issue with spilling but that was my fault cause I sat down with the bottle still in the open position and it spilled some water before I realized what happened. The open loop makes it easy to attach a carabiner to it and attach to my messenger bag for hands free transport. Overall great item and would buy again.

Favorite water bottle replacement
I usually just use it for water but it keeps my water nice and cold and it's also the perfect size for mixing in flavored water packets that I use to hide the taste of my creatine and other supplements. I've never had a spill (though you do have to be careful to let the lid close while still drinking so you don't leave the liquid on the outside of the seal). I also really like that the bottom is padded with rubber so it doesn't make a bunch of noise when I set it down. I liked this so much that I purchased a second one to leave at work. So one goes back and forth from home with me in the car and the other stays at the office to get water from the cooler to avoid wasting water bottles or cups.

Leaks, unlocks accidentally, lid stains
I am so sad, but I hate the new design. It does keep coffee hot, and the powder coating on the mug part is an improvement over the old painted metal, as the paint wore off, but other than that, it is horrible.I had an original forge, and it was the best. It never leaked, stayed closed, was just functional. I don't know why they thought a design change was needed. After 15 years of solid performance, I dropped my original forge and cracked the lid. Initially I tried to get a lid replacement, and to the company's credit, they sent me 2 new lids for free. Unfortunately, they were the new style and did not fit on my old mug. So I decided it was time to order new mugs. I ordered 3 new mugs since I couldnt decide on one size or color, and they all have the same issues:Coffee leaks out the back. I constantly have it dripping down my hand, it leaves rings of coffee on my desk, it drips on my shirt and pants. It is horrible. There is new a locking mechanism that allows you to lock it open. This is just stupid. If I wanted it to stay open, I would by a different style of mug. But fine, maybe some people want this option. The problem is that the lock will inadvertently slide over without my knowledge, locking it in the open position. Twice I have dumped coffee all over because I thought it was closed. Once the entire contents drained onto my bed before I noticed. If this is going to be an option, the lock should require some pressure to slide open, it should not be so loose it happens unintentionally. The part that slides back and forth on the lid used to be hollow In the middle and made from a smooth plastic. The new one is solid and flat, and made from a rough plastic. Why does this matter? I am a woman who wears makeup. The new version means the top part presses against my nose when I take a drink, and my makeup rubs of on it, ruining my makeup. The makeup also stains the lid, and the new style plastic does not come clean. They old style easily wiped clean. There is a dot of makeup staining the lid on all 3 that will not come clean.I regret purchasing 3, I miss the old version, it was my ideal travel mug. I cannot recommend this mug.

All good except…it occasionally leaks
The original Forge was great - kept my coffee hot and genuinely leak proof. This version is good except the new cap design will occasionally leak. The new “hold open” feature is unnecessary and a poor design - very easy to accidentally put in the “open” position. Even when “closed” coffee will occasionally leak out of the back.

The last coffee mug you should ever buy! Simply THE BEST!!
Love it! Fits under my Keurig when the tray is removed. My last one is still working after years. I have tried so many high end coffee mugs that I have quite a collection built but this is the only one I use. My ride or die. I don't think I could have coffee without it. It's definitely a codependent relationship. 5 states and then some.

This is version two of this cup. I have 10+ of the version one of this cup. Love it so much.
When they stopped making the version 1 of this cup. I needed one and paid $100 for it, because I have never found a cup that has all of these features.* It keeps hot drinks hot all day. By the end of the day, while still not hot the hot drink will be warm.* It keeps cold drinks cold all day.* It has a sipping lip, so when you have a hot drink, you don't burn your lip.* When you remove the lid from the container, and press the lever, the whole thing opens up to clean* It has a lock, if you want to keep it in open modeOne hint, when using with hot liquids. keep the cup straight up (not pointing to your face) and press the lever, then tip and drink. The first drink will have built up pressure, and you could get a surprise!

Liquids stay in the lid cap and then drips on your hand
Until use, it doesn't leak... The cap design is unfortunate in that as soon as you press the button and take a drink, any residual liquid in the cap area will run out the back of your hand and drip on your clothes. This is awful if you plan on drinking coffee in the car or using anywhere indoors around paper or electronics. I filed a warranty claim since it was past the time to return it when first used. CamelBak sent me a new cap which does the exact same thing. If there isn't a compatible alternative cap design, then the only thing I can think of to make this steel bottle work is to just use it as a thermos and remember to spin off the cap when I want to drink. The overall quality of the materials is good, and the handle is nice. Its just the part of actually using it that works poorly.
