Excellent grip. Have tried others that don't have the unique locking mechanism that these have. I had two photo filter/spacers that were tightly locked together. Tried other strap wrenches without luck. These did the job in 15 seconds.

Work just as I had hoped. I use them to adjust my flagpole. Being 82 I have lost hand strength and these two allow me to adjust the flag pole.

I wasn't able to get the oil filter on my motorcyle loose using my automotive tools because they were too big. I tried using a pipe wrench but it merely collapsed one side of the filter. So I started searching for the right tool for the job and found this set.Yes the odor of the rubber is strong initially but that is to be expected for something like this that is stored in packaging. Once it had time to air out, the odor isn't bad at all. And since I'm using it outdoors, so there's plenty of ventilation.The handle and locking mechanism seem to be of very good quality and heavy and sturdy enough for most applications. I was satisfied with this.To loosen my oil filter, I used the larger of the two wrenches. It took a lot of pressure. I wasn't sure if the strap would break before the filter loosened. But with steadily increasing pressure the filter eventually broke loose. I imagine that if I had used a lot of pressure too quickly, the strap could have broken.I'm very happy that it worked and for that reason I would recommend this set for this purpose. I'll probably use the smaller wrench for opening stubborn lids.

The media could not be loaded. Over the course of the last two weeks, I have made substantial use of this tool, and its adaptability has certainly stuck out to me. Very easy setup instructions and worked great the first time using it. Good quality and the small one is perfect for opening jars that would otherwise require a strongman to open. I use the big one for my outdoor water filter since it is a unconventional size. I looked all over and couldn't find the right wrench. So, I bought this, and it was quick and easy to use. Shipping was fast as well.
