Chengying 17 inch (5:4) Infrared Multi-Touch Overlay - IR Touch Frame - 17" Infrared Touch Panel - USB Interface - with Protective Glass

Very hard to mount on thin bezel monitor. Needed to use duct tape. Once installed it was a great addition to my system.

At first I had the worst time trying to get it to work, hence the deduction of one star. I wanted to use it on a monitor as an extended monitor with my laptop as the main monitor. I had to contact their support, but I only heard from them, as far as I can tell, after I gave a one star review here on Amazon (something I am not prone to doing).At any rate, it works now! Turns out that the other monitor needed to be selected as the "main monitor" for it to work. At the moment, I am just duplicating the monitors with that in effect. I have been told I can use my laptop monitor as the extended monitor, but I have yet to try that out.I am using this touch frame on a large monitor for the purpose of live music production, by the way. One thing I will have to get use to is that the touch response can activate before I actually touch the screen. Otherwise, it is rather awesome!

I ordered this to use for small meeting sessions. I wanted to be able to control a computer from a large screen. I ordered a smaller one because I had an extra 40" TV and I wanted to test before I purchase a 60" setup. When received, it was as expected. It was very easy to assemble. In the instructions, mentioned was mounting this on/next to a glass "front".Problem 1:Most of today's TVs don't have a glass front, but instead a bezel making the screen sit back about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from where the frame is mounted. I will probably try placing a piece of plastic/glass between the TV and the frame just to test.Problem 2:I'm not sure where the original measurements for the design of the frame come from, but I tested fitting the frame to 5 different TVs from different manufactures, and it only just fit one (Samsung) correctly. On the rest, the frame was offset too much to function correctly. I guess you would need to make the frame sides adjustable, but I don't see any way this might be done.I did get the frame lined up and centered over the actual TV screen. I was using a Windows 10 laptop. All I did was plug the USB 2.0 plug into the laptop and an HDMI cable (I provided) into the laptop and TV, and it worked. When I moved my finger over the TV, the mouse cursor followed. The cursor was slightly off from where my finger touched the screen, but did follow my movements. I also was able to click etc. by taping the screen with my finger. Things I haven't tested but plan to; Multiple touch points, double tap shortcut menus, use with Google Chrome devices.For my purposes, it does function exactly like I expected. I wish there could be a some adjustments made to fit a TV better, but that would be difficult and undoubtedly raise the price. In most cases, test on the screen you plan to use for fit. All in all, a pretty inexpensive 40" touch screen for under $400, and it will do exactly what I need it to do.

Used with a Raspberry Pi.Was assuming I would have to go find the correct modules, or software to use or configure it. However I plugged the USB in and it just worked. Didn't have to do any kind of calibration or anything. It was accurate and worked better than expected.

49" IR Touch Frame.I Could not be any happier.After looking at the documentation:Frame assembly time 7min, only 8 screws.Attachment to 49" LED TV, about 20min.Time to calibrate, 0 minutes, no calibration needed - it works perfectly without calibration and very accurate.Latency is no issue, sliders and knobs move as fast as i can move them.I'm using with the X32 Edit software for my Behringer X32 rack mount mixer,, I also use it with "Mixing Station" software as this software allows to do custom layouts and I can see all controls for the mixer on the screen,

I hooked it right up to the tv and just like that it was touch screen. I see some older tv's may need a computer hook up but the android tv was no set up clearly plug and play. It dkes work hoq0qwever it is not always accurate. It may click the first thing in the line instead of where u want to click sometimes but overall I am quite pleased.

I purchased the 24 inch for a Dart scoreboard. It works flawlessly with an Rpi4 and Android LineageOS without additional drivers. The accuracy is good and easy to install. I wish it was a little cheaper and less bulky but did exactly what I wanted. Good product.

How does this is the second 43 inch touchscreen frame that I’ve ordered and I both work fine I think that they are a little clunky because you cannot really use a pen with stylus to write on the screen as if you were a chalkboard or a whiteboard. But you can select, right click, and dragon drop items on the desktop with ease mostly. This particular frame was thinner, lighter and it did come with a “solution“ to mounting it to the front of the monitor whereas the first monitor frame I purchased did not have a solution at all. This time the seller included a small section of double-sided Tape to attach it to the front of your monitor. This Sadly is not a solution for my monitor because it is a 43 inch high definition Phillips monitor that comes with a four year in advance replacement warranty where they send you a refurbished or a new monitor to you and then you pack up the monitor that is broken down into the packaging that they sent the replacement in. Using double-sided tape would void the 4year warranty because you’ve done something to alter the monitor.It may be a little more expensive to include a universal type bracket that snaps onto the existing monitor Without gluing it to the monitor or taking the monitor apart.

This is a REALLY cost effective way to change your TV/Monitor into a large touch screen monitor. I have attached the touch frame to an LG 32inch HD smart TV which is connected to a Windows 10 PC. The TV/monitor is mounted on the wall in my kitchen at standing/bar-stool height and mainly used for internet browsing and multimedia playback so converting it to a large tablet was preferable. The item arrived in just over a week, not the three stated. It's extremely simple to build and attach to the TV facia with the supplied double sided tape (sounds primitive but works well) and doesn't require proprietary drivers for Windows 10 so once unpackaged it's fifteen minutes to fully installed.It's functionality is superb! Proper multi-touch for pinch-zoom and rotation works at surprisingly fine resolution. Screen tap's are incredibly accurate. The ONLY shortcoming is the double-tap, but this is not an issue with functionality of the device, rather a restriction of the technology. Because the IR frame works by sending coordinates for the position of your digit via the HID interface driver, you have to physically retract your finger out of the plane of the IR frame and back again as opposed to simple double tapping. This works but takes a little getting used to. Of course there's always the long hold for context menu option or swap to tablet mode.A great product at a great price.

Great Product, had issue with the Screen not turning off in power save mode while the Overlay was plugged into USB. But the Customer Service Team at Chengying was EXCELLENT. Communication was consistent, polite and professional. The Technical IT Department got straight onto it, and the matter was resolved within days. Communication was by the normal Amazon messaging, standard email and WhatsApp. Chengying demonstrated that their Customer Service Infrastructure can be international and being in different countries and time zones are no issue. I also had to re-format my PC recently, but when I attached the "32inch 10 point multi-touch infrared touch frame, IR touch panel, infrared touch screen overlay" I had no issues, I have multiple screens and all turned off when left without any interaction after a period of time, and windows power saver mode work without any issue. This Product is a great alternative to purchasing a very expensive 32inch Touch Screen. From my experience, I was impressed with the Customer Service and the effort they went to resolve this minor issue that no longer exists. I have no issue with this Product, and meets my requirements and needs, the only issue I have is the double tap to open file, this is not has responsive when compared to the actual touch screens I have. Not sure if this is a simple Windows Pointing\Touch Screen Settings Feature I have missed in Control Panel. But I would give this IR Overlay Panel 8 out of 10 and 4 Stars. I would give the Customer Care and IT Technical Service at Chengying 10 out of 10 and 5 Stars.My Closing Conclusion…Product is great meets my needs and requirements, not quite at the same level has an actual Touch Screen, this is obviously to be expected. But if you do not wish to fork out lots of money for an actual Touch Screen, then I would most certainly recommend this item to anybody, value for money all the features you would expect from a touch screen. I have not got round yet to adding glass to my IR Overlay, this is recommended, and just may improve the overall performance.My experience with the Company\Business that are selling this product, not much I can say here 100% Excellent Customer Service, Great Communication, Communicated using Amazon Messaging, Email and WhatsApp, I can only therefore say from my own experience with Chengying. I was nervous about ordering this product but after doing so I am very happy with the product. After placing the order I was contacted to confirm that the sizing was correct and that I was happy with the actual item in the order, in case it wasn't what I expected, I thought this was excellent, saving them and me any hassle returning goods over such a distance if not what I thought it was meant to be, it then arrived well packaged ahead of schedule. Works as expected.

I bought this to use touch on my 50 inch TV for my Virtual Organ, I wasn't disappointed, I changed mouse click settings in Windows to 'single click, I can open programs just by pointing close to the screen, you can add a glass panel If you want but I didn't.
