Seedlip Spice 94 Distilled Aromatic Botanicals, Non alcoholic Spirit, 23.7 Fl Oz Bottle

I was in an AMEX lounge with a speakeasy. Not wanting to drink too much alcohal before flying I asked the bartender if she could make me a mocktail. She said that she could make an alternate version of one of the cocktails on the list and suggested a citrus based one. The drink was sooooo delicous. I've ordered quite a few mocktails in the past but this one was far superior. I asked what the non alcohalic spirit was and took a picture of the bottle so I could try and duplicate it at home. In trying to reduce vodka drinking I looked for alternatives that still had a taste sensation and wasn't overpowered by the mixer. Straight vodka has no true flavor in mixers so its a tough ask. This has a spice flavor that comes through ensuring you can tell the difference between regular mixer and the addition of Seedlip Spice 94.I think its a bit expensive for a 750ml bottle, priced as high as mid level to upper vodkas. But it definitely is a great solution to use to reduce alcohol intake.I filled a high end vodka bottle with this and had it on bar. A few persons used this for their drinks and none had any idea it was alcohol free. Two people said it had a nice taste and said they'd like to order. At that time I did have to tell them what was in the bottle. They were very surprised. So I vote for it.

This was undrinkable for me. I found the flavor of allspice or anise overpowering. And I love black licorice and black jellybeans. I mixed it with soda water, and even stepped down to a 1oz. pour. I had to wash my glass to remove the smell, to go to a different drink.I checked into returning it, which you can't, and reached out to Seedlip to see if they could do anything. I had the half-hearted expectation that they would see their way to sending a different flavor, like the Garden 108 (2-star for me). They didn't have any interest in a credit or exchange (which I didn't really expect) and replied with a bit of boilerplate.I'm stuck with a bottle I won't drink, and am too cheap to pour it down the drain🙂. If you could find a decent NA red wine, you might use this to make sangria, or sub it for Galliano in a mocktail. It is a big "No" from me...Other than the off-putting flavor, my main objections to this are the cost, and the bottle size. I don't know why they've opted for a 700ml bottle instead of a standard 750ml, but it seems like a philosophy of "shrinkflation" before there was anything to shrink. I find the cost of this product second only to its flavor as prohibitive flaws. The $31 for this bottle puts you in the neighborhood of the price range of some very decent spirits, for which you'd receive a larger bottle. If you're avoiding alcohol, I would just go to the produce section instead.

Not too bad but no substitute for vodka, which is what we were looking for. (Honestly, it's not too bad if you put enough gin in it.) Just not tasty enough for me to want to buy more on its own.

Back to back babies had me looking for good NA beverages beyond juice and soda! Even in my everyday life, alcohol can give me headaches so quickly… My husband and I are both fairly intense foodies in wine and restaurants industry- so it is important to find good alternatives.In my opinion, this works best almost as you would use vermouth or bitters. For example, today I made a mocktail with 70% homemade gewürztraminer juice 29% grapefruit sparkling water and 1% Seedlip - in other words, just a splash. It actually does add a lot of depth, complexity and interest and I am very glad to have tried it.As some mention, it does have a unusual flavor and I would not recommend just pouring this over ice, as you would with many spirits. Ultimately it would sort of taste like flavored water. Add just a splash to flavored spa water or a can of le croix and it does step it up.I really like having this as a tool in my kitchen and I would be really interested in their other flavors. I don’t love it and, for the price, I’m hesitant to buy more. I wish they had an $30-$40 sample set of smaller bottles. At $40 each, it’s just too much to not know if I’ll use it….

I bought two bottles of the Seedlip so I could have a non-alcoholic option for the holidays. My daughter who is pregnant, loved it! It was versatile and botanical and made great drinks and in her opinion, it is one of the better options for mocktails. Some stuff is just bubbly water and sugary flavor but not Seedlip. You feel like you are drinking a fine cocktail and you don't miss the alcohol. Pricey but considering what you would pay for alcohol it is comparable and with the no alcohol, its a win win.

Love the taste and makes refreshing mocktails. I tried with ginger ale -nice. With gingerale and cranberry which made a cool Cape Cod drink and with just cranberry juice and lime.
