Can't Be Sure
My dog is having some sort of severe allergic reaction happening with his paws. He has licked/chewed off all of the hair on his ankles and has angry, crusty skin. We're working with the vet with oral medications and diet. However, he is still having issues. I wanted something to soothe his skin and help his hair grow back. I bought this after reading the reviews. We've been using it for a week and, honestly, I can't tell if it's good or bad. When I put it on his ankles he goes INSANE. He bucks around the room trying to get at them around his cone and starts showing signs of distress like panting and drooling. However, about an hour later, he's calm and actually itches and fusses less than when he doesn't have it on. I am torn. I hate seeing him in the initial distress, so I will try another spray. It could just be that his skin is currently so bad that it's initially like when we humans put alcohol on a cut. However, I just can't stand seeing him so upset. I think I'll save it to try again when we get his skin a little healthier.UPDATE: Took my dog to the vet and brought this spray along for her to look at. She said that there doesn't appear to be anything in it which is all that soothing. She did say that it contains an antibacterial ingredient, which might help some dogs. Turns out my guy does have a bacterial infection, secondary to his allergic reaction and that my initial thought that it's like putting alcohol on a wound is fairly accurate. The vet said that bacterial infections can itch almost as badly as the allergy. So, it might help your dog's hot spots with regular use, if they are bacteria related, but it won't do much soothing otherwise. For now, she gave us a truly soothing prescription spray.

Happy goldendoodle!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have a 5 year old golden doodle that gets groomed every 6 weeks and gets itchy after. She also gets hot spots. I spray this on and they go away basically overnight. It’s a miracle worker!

A mi perro le funciona bien
Normalmente uso el que es de concentración al 2%, pero este es al 4% y me ha servido muchísimo para la piel de mi perro. Al ser más concentrado recomiendo hidratar muy bien la piel del perrito.
