I bought this after nearly spending £600 on a very similar design. There is no mistaking that this is a cheap and practical item of furniture but overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend. The metal appears to be steel or similar spray painted a Matt gold colour. Assembly is relatively easy, each part is labelled so you can follow along with the instructions, can be done with one person but two is quicker. Sections are locked in with an Allen key, make sure they’re well tightened as the weight of the glass shelves will cause the metal to turn and misalign unless you have secured it properly. Glass cushion pads are also supplied for the glass shelves to sit on. A couple of the screws are visible once fitted which is annoying as they are silver so do not blend in with the gold frame. The shelves are a nice slim design but offer lots of display surface. Generally sturdy, once in please I would be very careful when manoeuvring or you may find it tips. All in all, you can’t complain given the price, it does the job!

The shelf gives instant beautification to your home. Been receiving compliments. the price is ok however I think the metal could be of better quality. I assembled mine and when I tried to tighten the screws it created a puncture on the metal. Otherwise the product is great and lots of space for decoration.

This bookshelf is stunning, I love it and my plants look beautiful on this. Great quality, functionality, easy to assemble with plenty of screws. The size is perfect for my living room.

Loved the matt "gold" finish, more modern glamorous look. The anti tip safety ties are black , cheap,and nasty looking. They are too obvious to the eye.My husband improvised .(See 2nd photo)Very good value it appears more high end than it's price.My friends agree that it looks expensive. I would not advise this piece to a household with boisterous small children and/ or dogs
