Are there different colors other than pink cloud for the daycare cot version that has the straps to attach to the cot?

I have it in grey with clouds, I didn’t know pink was option :) Mine also has the Velcro straps.

I just received this nap mat and the blanket part is significantly shorter than the rest of the mat. Is this a defect?

The blanket is shorter than the mat but not significantly. Maybe about an inch or so.

What is the padding and pillow stuffing made of? Down or an alternative?

The filling of the nap mat is down alternative.

Would this work for a 17 month old?

Yes! I bought it for my two year old, who is very petite (22 lbs) and she fits right in nice and cozy.
