We purchased the 3M "Household Multi-Purpose Respirator" at a big box store several years ago, and these filters fit that mask. (The top of the mask's nose has "6200" molded into it.)If my research is correct (and 3M doesn't make the research easy,) these cartridges are a similar filtration to the typical "P95" dust masks that can be found anywhere.The multi-purpose cartridges on that mask are meant for vapors as well as dust, and breathing through them is tiring, even when they were new. These filters block the dust without giving me the sense that I'm cosplaying Darth Vader.When not using these, I pop them off the mask and store them in a zip top sandwich bag with a packet of silica gel. The less dust that the filters encounter, the longer they will last.Why use a respirator mask instead of a disposable mask?1. Respirator masks are sized and have different adjustment points. Medium is usually the only choice available at the Lowes Depot, but Amazon sells small and large if you're face isn't medium sized.2. Respirator masks make a seal, disposable masks do not. The regular mask still lets in stuff around the side. The lack of a nose piece seal on a disposable mask also fogs up my glasses. I set the nose piece of my prescription lens glasses on top of the respirator mask's nose and add safety goggles for the full Personal Protective Equipment silhouette.3. Respirator masks are much more comfortable. Because it fits my face and doesn't fog up my glasses, I am much more likely to wear the respirator than I am a disposable mask. My neck does tire more easily if I am wearing the respirator while leaned forward, but in every other way, the respirator is a superior mask wearing experience.

3M is as good as it gets

I’m a big fan of the 3M respirators. I use the organic filters for fumes and these cheaper ones for dust.If you’re considering buying a respirator then your search is over. Just do it for you.Worth every penny for the respirators or any of their filters. Comfortable enough to focus on the job instead of the unit, and very effective.Not easy to impress, a bit cynical, but these rock.

I use these filters with a 3M half face respirator for wood turning and lawn mowing. If I don't use them, I get black stuff out of my nose and sinuses for a day or two. With these, nothing. Nothing gets through them causing any breathing issues at all. The white surgical masks are useless for my situations. These filters are well worth the money when used with the 3M half face respirators.

Fit the Evo ventilator

Those with training KNOW the difference between a necessary safety filter and a worthless fashion statement; HERE It Is !!! Passed a FIT TEST with flying colors the first time !!! Replaceable filters last exactly the amount of time described. If you're a Healthcare Worker as I am and work around COVID Positive patients, THIS is the mask you should be wearing !!!

These are fantastic. I work in a small wood shop and before I purchased these I had to use a disposable dust masks and the never worked great. Now when I do a lot of cutting I have no issue breathing with fine dust in the air. I even forget my mask is on.

This is what you want to get for better air quality. Do not try and save money and get the cheaper knockoffs, these are your lungs we're talking about. 3M makes quality products.
